Clothes drying in apartment window ...

Taken for the Smile on Saturday theme of Fancy Fabrics. I have spent ages faffing around trying to get a shot I am happy with using all different fabrics but this is the best I could manage! The fabric is blurry just in case anyone thought it was out of focus! HSoS!

Fabric on a quilt my Grandmother made long before I was born.

I didn't like the dress, so, I photographed the fabric.

New 365 Project 2023: 07.21

before photography took hold of me, I was addicted to quilting and made close to 100 quilts... this is from an applique quilt I made through my library, Block Of The Month... each block taught me something new and a lot of hand sewing... the yo-yo's all measured 1 1/2 inches across...

My entry for Macro Monday - Cloth

The quilt measures 62"x82"

Quilting takes a long and photography is instant gratification!!

Curious bollard spotted in the city beside a cafe, seen from the front passenger seat of the car. From my other shots it is easier to see that the bollard is covered with fabric.

I made this a gift for a very crafty friend...

6º ESCLUSA

RAMAL DE CAMPOS 7ª ETAPA

The Ministry of Time

Chapter III: The Saboteur's Plan

The style card and credits here

When Richard materialized in the bustling streets of New York in the year 2025, he immediately felt a disturbance in the temporal fabric. People were passing by in a hurry, unaware of the imminent danger lurking in the shadows. Following the coordinates provided by the Ministry, Richard and his companion headed towards the vicinity of a nuclear plant. As they approached, they saw a suspicious figure hunched over a device of peculiar appearance typing rapidly on it. With stealth and precision, Richard approached the saboteur, while his pulse throbbed with electric intensity. Suddenly, footsteps were heard resonating beside him, and Agent Pablo Torres emerged from the shadows, his weapon drawn and ready.

"We have you now," proclaimed Pablo with firm and authoritative voice.

The saboteur leaped and started running as Richard and Pablo chased after him. At a certain point, he abruptly stopped and with a cold smile on his face, rummaged in a pocket and pulled out a small device that he activated with a click. With a dazzling flash of light, a temporal distortion opened before him. Before Richard or Pablo could react, the saboteur disappeared into the temporal vortex, leaving the agents astonished and without clues to follow his trail.

Back at the Ministry, Richard and Pablo faced the harsh reality of their failure. The saboteur had escaped, leaving behind more questions than answers. As they discussed what had happened, Richard noticed that Pablo was out of breath, with a hand on his chest.

"Are you okay, Pablo?" asked Richard, concerned.

Pablo nodded with a weak smile. "I don't think I'll be able to join you in the next pursuit," he admitted.

Richard furrowed his brow, visibly worried about his friend's health. Later, after leaving Pablo in the infirmary, Richard reflected with amazement: "It's the first time we've seen interdimensional portals open wherever one desires. This complicates things a lot."

With time running out, they knew they had to redouble their efforts to stop the saboteur's sinister plans and protect the timeline at all costs.

I used Nova's wonderful nesting fabric bowl pattern, you can find it here. This basket is the 7" version, it's quite big! And a little matching pincushion. Now to find some goodies and get it in the mail! To make the flying geese for the basket, cut pink fabrics into rectangles, 4" by 2 1/4" and low volume fabrics into 2 1/4" squares. You need 16 flying geese.

I'm amazed that this is actually the fabric, not something that is embroidered onto the fabric. I found a whole bolt of this stuff while hanging out with She Who Must Be Obeyed at the fabric shop. Pretty amazing to non sewer like me. For the Looking Close... On Friday challenge, fabric texture.

Happy LCOF!

I bought this chrysanthemum cluster at a nursery to practice focus stacking. Behind the flowers is a green patterned swath of fabric, but with a blue LED light shining on it. I set the camera to take 80 frames, and blended them with Helicon Focus.

The fabric strips going into my current quilt project. Should be a beauty!!!
