So these two dolls were the last on my Fashionista wishlist since my enthusiasm for the rest of them kind of died down when the dolls I wanted all turned out to have their eyes printed on their foreheads and I’m just so tired I don’t even want to try tracking them down from overseas…

But hey one of my favourite Goddess sculpt dolls was finally stocked here and I found *one* doll with long bangs and her eyes printed lower than the others. I was also going to pick the other goddess sculpt doll with green clothes too but all of them had eyes on their foreheads so bleh.

I’ve washed and cleaned her but she doesn’t look quite right on a regular body? Idk but I’m not that happy with her purchase since her eyes look… off to me despite it looking much better than the others there.

The other doll though I was actually excited to get since I’ve wanted her since seeing her online and the fact her eyeprinting is actually detailed, narrow and not so wall eyed and stuff.

I immediately shoved her onto my Triad Alpha body since I’ve been wanting a Curvy headsculpt to go on it but it needed the right attitude, and she’s got plenty of it.

This season's playline releases have been breathtaking for the most part, but Fall 2013 will be forever remembered for the conspicuous absence of boy dolls from the major lines. The exceptions would be Mattel's two lines: Monster High and Barbie Life In The Dreamhouse.

LITD Ken uses the 2009 Ken headsculpt but his eyeprints are larger than previous versions. He has the Fashionista torso and articulated elbows and wrists. His knees are articulated. His ankle joints are not and his hip joint are not the straddle type. Unlike the girls in this line, LITD Ken does not come with an alternate fashion, only his blue hoodie.

Many thanks to my friend for letting me shot his eye under this light condition ;)

Elissabat is the new vampire girl. She's a stage actress with a double identity and she doesn't do films because of...that vampire's-image-doesn't-appear-in-photographs thing. or does she? Also, her eyeprints are different from the other girls...a penetrating eyes-forward-gaze that follows you as you walk around the room ^_^

I decided to leave the crack in the photo.

Jade has the "fair" skin tone. Her hair is Kanekalon and came with a lot of gel. I'm still trying to get it out. Her hair is a blend of three colors. I fixed up her fringe, it was a bit long and obscuring her eyeprints. Still, I prefer Kanekalon over the notorious Bratz nylon any day

I love the dresses from this line and their faceups. I prefer the 2010 basic body over the 2001 body, it's definitely an improvement ^_^

CB Frankie is edgier than PCF2 Frankie. She has glitter eyeshadow and slantier eyeprints.

Clawd! I love his eyeprints ^_^

Her hair is very dark brown, not black, and her eyeprint is slightly different from the other Aikas.

My favorite Abby. I love her eyeprint placement and her rooting.

There are many types of Licca dolls, some of them have heads different from the standard.

The left is the 2014 HGS-Licca, the head is L07-Y-22, and the eyeprint is also different.

The center is the 2011 Motekawa-Carl Licca and the head is the L07-Y.

The right is Licca in the early 2010s and the head is the standard K29 type.

Their hairstyles are not in the initial state.

Sweet Cerise. I must have looked at a dozen Cerise dolls at four different stores but most had misaligned eyeprints. She's my favorite character and I had to find a good one with the least noticeable eye wonk.

France - Lisa BATTISTINI, Thomas BOISSIN, Léo-Nils BOISSIER, - Eyeprint, give relief to your senses

Based on her clothes and eyeprint, she's a 3rd gen Yasmin. She came with several rather wonky braids, but none of them were original and just left her scalp bare, so I didn't feel bad about taking them out. I ironed the worst of it flat and boil permed the rest. Not sure what to do with it next.

I know the eyeprint is pretty much the only way to make a doll unique, and I know they have to simplify when they scale it down to 1/9 or whatever this is, but... I'm still not sure about these.

Lucky 1991 7" doll aka mini Fashion Corner

Thrift find. I bought her for her weirdly angular anime face and her eyeprints (which I actually genuinely like). Her torso is covered in glitter (probably factory made since the rubber band that kept her necklace in place is unaffected). She seems to be missing a pair of wings too. About 21cm tall, click knees.

Not sure if I'm keeping her, but I'm going to try and sort her hair out at least. It's not too bad, but it's nylon and there's tinsel so ironing will be a bit tricky.

When I first got into dolls in 1999 it was Francie I loved. I've long since sold my entire collection after I got into Blythe/BJD...this feels like going "home".

I LOVE this doll's eyeprint <3 <3 And those faded coral lips.

1978-1982 Takara Jenny.

ahh I've been wanting a Hitomi-chan for a while but kept seeing super junky ones, and it's her ridiculously kawaii eyeprint that I really love. This one finally turned up on a proxy site so while I resisted for a couple weeks I finally just grabbed her. I hope her hair is salvageable, yikes! These older girls have really thick hair, I'm still struggling to flatten Pia (2nd gen licca)'s hair.

I think I recognize her dress (well, it's actually a shirt and skirt!) as a more modern set probably 4th gen but it fits and its really quite cute, if musty.

Peering Eyes Abstract #22 William Kaluta Artist

Original Mixed Media Art #1 to #500

Artist William Kaluta

I went home to pick up a few of my childhood dolls. This one wasn`t actually mine per se -it`s my mother`s, as it`s a 1981 doll and I wasn`t born yet. I`m having trouble figuring out who she is. She has the Jenny body with the ring finger and all, but other than that she`s a complete mystery. I`m assuming she`s a Takara Barbie, but her eyeprint isin`t matching.

Edit: She`s possibly a 1985 Flora.

Takashimaya Original Marine.

Between seeing all the blonde and brown haired versions, This particular one just stood out.

Her eyeprint base color is purple. I love odd colored bases :D

(Side note, was close to buying twinkle-eye jenny with light brown base but her face and body color didn`t match too well. Worse than this marine)

Mya Stone knows that good prey has fake eyeprints to fool predators. I bet you won't be looking at her real eyes any time soon.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Canterlot Spectacular (8/3 and 8/4 in Connecticut Targets)

I had to get the Princess sisters. Unfortunately, Luna's unique eyeprint doesn't play nicely with the unicorn head's pre-existing eye-wells.
