Full moon on Veterans Day evening 2019 in Greensboro, North Carolina! It looks as if the moon is sitting in this tree.

Zoom burst treatment of tree tops.

Tamaracks or American Larches are the only pine tree that lose their needles every year. Every fall they turn a golden brown before falling off. The reflection looked like a watercolor painting.

Good morning, Greensboro!!

This image was taken for the “Smile on Saturday” themed group. This week’s theme is earrings.

Alright, alright, don’t laugh, but please smile… Yes, I know these earrings are a little garish, but I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one with a colorful side. So, I am comfortable sharing a little bit of mine.

Fun clothes and accessories are reserved for very specific parties and events that I occasionally attend. You know, ones such as Halloween parties, speakeasy’s and masks, etc.

Things like this are not very practical for gardening and I’m pretty sure that my backyard beauties would not appreciate the flare.

As a young girl I always loved to play dress up and apparently, on occasion I still do. FYI, these earrings may or may not be the wildest set in my collection of flamboyant accessories. Don’t judge.

Have a sensational Saturday full of joy and lots of smiles. Happy snapping!

An amazing coat but who designed it and which artist was it inspired by? Wish I knew.

Seen in the Plaza Mayor, Salamanca, Spain.

stare into my eyes unblinkingly for 30 seconds - how do you feel? i think the chillies made me slightly maniacal!

It has not rained here at all in a very long time. The grass is brown, I haven't ever had grass this brown. I miss green grass! :(

(Week 4)

No internet in the office... and recently, at home. @#$#@$@#$#@%!!!!!! <fish tea>

Mid-America Windmill Museum

It is fitting that Kendallville have a windmill museum, since Flint & Walling Company was a major windmill manufacturer. In addition, there were ten other well known manufacturers within a 100-mile radius as well as some twenty other lesser known companies. No other place in the country had such a concentration of windmill manufacturers. Since there were so many different windmill manufacturers within the tri-state area, it was decided to name the newest Northeastern Indiana cultural tourist attraction the “Mid-America Windmill Museum” which allowed the museum to encompass a greater area of interest and include the other windmill companies that existed in this area.

I somehow managed to grow wheat. I think I must have had a little help from a passing bird or something!

I took all of the spices kin the closet and tossed them into a pot and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. One never knows is a if you may over spice a capture. BUT this is SLDERS to rules are out the window :). Love that!! HSS Hope you are all getting the sun we are here today :).

SOOC is the Topic for 19th March 2011 for ODC group. Sorry I'm a day behind. I thought the only way to make up for it was to share today's beautiful sunset with everyone.

This is @ Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.

we bought this squeeze toy from one of the shops around Leura town centre. it's a bit of a challenge for our kid to squeeze it with enough force so both eyes would pop out. I reckon his grip strength will improve with this toy ;)

Saint John's Arboretum

This fall internationally renowned artist Patrick Dougherty spent three weeks in residency at the Saint John's Arboretum creating a monumental outdoor sculpture made of sustainably-harvested saplings, which will grace the Arboretum landscape for at least the next two years.

Here's the finished work of art!!!! :)

Thank you to everyone who views, faves, or comments on this collage of fireworks.

Independence Day 2022 was certainly tainted for Illinoisans by yet another mass shooting in Highland Park.

We did not go to our local fireworks because the ground was already saturated with water from fairly heavy morning and late afternoon showers. We figured also that there would be lots of mosquitoes and unvaccinated people in abundance. The collages I made were my way of trying to spread some joy.

I created them on July 3rd, 2022, from photos of past celebrations, when all one had to worry about was getting a good viewing spot.
