A newly constructed bridge that spans the Swan River between East Perth to Heirisson Island and then Heirisson Island to Victoria Park. This is located in the Downtown/CBD of Perth. Heirisson Island contains a Kangaroo Sanctuary and some Cultural displays. The bridge itself is eyecatching and catches the light in all sorts of ways.
This series of photos displays closeup detail to wide angle in midday light.
Early Purple Orchid / orchis mascula. Cloud Wood, Leicestershire. 25/04/20.
This has to be the most flamboyant EPO I came across on a visit to Cloud Wood in late April. Magenta pink flowers with liberal patches of white as contrast, made it impossible to miss. Perfect timing, (ie: pure luck!) meant I caught it in peak condition.
A smile maker for sure! :-))
The "HOPE" statue by artist Frankey, with its vibrant floral patterns and crossed fingers, symbolizes the power of hope in the face of life’s challenges. The bright colors against the clear blue sky inspire a sense of optimism, reminding us that even in uncertain times, hope blooms within us. It’s a simple yet powerful reminder that positivity and resilience can light up our days, no matter where we are.
Ferrier Fountain is an eyecatching group of three cascading spheres of water in a park near the Town Hall in Christchurch, New Zealand. One of the best I've seen.

Festival of Architecture Aberdeen
The mirrored pavilion at Castlegate in Aberdeen City Centre was designed by Lucy Fisher a student from Robert Gordon University. This eyecatching pavilion will provide a home for both the Look Again Visual Art and Design Festival and the Festival of Architecture 2016
on the evening of this shot I noticed that someone had left a lipstick mark on one of the panels to show their love of the exhibit... visible in the shot.
This image of a Bronze-winged Jacana shows that indeed the wings have a beautiful bronze hue. We also see the other colours in the plumage repertoire of this eyecatching species, as well as the red base to the upper mandible. Adults of this species look similar, although females are larger. The breeding ecology of this species is intriguing, with a female breeding with multiple males and a male incubating the resulting eggs. Males also rear the young. Males attract females with what has been described as a yelling call. The individual in this photo was seen in the Lat Krabang area of Bangkok, Thailand: a place that is close to the international airport yet still has extensive rice paddies.
Painted Stork is a large species of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The pink colour on the wings is eyecatching, as are the large yellow bill and the orange head. These birds were feeding at a wetland near the coast at Pak Thale, Phetchaburi province, Thailand.
It is some times a year that this plant is making the centre of the sight, it is indeed an eyecatcher with it s burning colors. Special when the sun shines on it. (nikkor 80-200mm afD F2.8)

Tonemapped with Dynamic Photo HDR, once with the Human Eye method and once with the Eye Catching method, then the two were combined in Photoshop.
Do you feel like a spectator and the world a spectacle? Guy Debord's book "Society of the Spectacle" (1967) can help you understand those feelings.
Magnolia Warbler is certainly an eyecatching species: both sexes have yellow throats and black streaking on yellow underparts. The males, such as in this photo, show a black area through the eyes. This individual was sighted in Cold Lake Provincial Park in Alberta, Canada.
The beautiful, artful Vimy Bridge in Barrhaven, all dramatically lit up at night! Fun to drive under. Happy Sunday =)
