For the SoS group: "Fancy Fabrics"
It must be the drawer with the most exotic collection of fabrics ... my husband's tie drawer! This is just a selection of the complete collection. Sadly suits, ties and formal dressing is no longer called for once retirement arrives ... so they languish unloved and unworn for most of the year!

the Fuchsias are in bloom, the dainty little dancers...
They are doing soooo well.
Fuchsia from my garden. So delicate and pretty and in one of my favourite colour-combinations!
Fuchsia is a genus of flowering plants that consists mostly of shrubs or small trees.
The first, Fuchsia triphylla, was discovered on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola (present day Dominican Republic and Haiti) in 1703 by the French Minim monk and botanist, Charles Plumier.
He named the new genus after the renowned German botanist Leonhart Fuchs.
This is one of the varieties, plump, with a red tutu and white nickers? LOL
Enjoy and make the BEST of every day! Thank you, M, (*_*)

Too bad that last iris on the right was past its peak... and that I didn't do a little tidying up first What this lacks in perfection, it makes up for in sunny colors!
One from the spectacular Christmas light show at Kew Gardens, London. This was at the end of a long trail ending at the lake in front of the famous Palm House. The fountains kept erupting every second, creating beautiful shapes along with the lights.
Sometimes I feel too overwhelmed when I see a sky like this... As if this might be a premonition, and this time I thought it could only be a good one, considering the huge and friendly cloud. I might say an extravagant cloud and "extravaganza" was the word that immediately came upon me.
A fun-filled schedule of festive events took place for this year’s Poole Christmas Extravaganza which took place throughout Poole town centre and Poole Quay over four days. This is what you missed!!!
This is the outfit I put together for BLVD Winter Mix and Match Extravaganza today.

Normal service: I don't know what this is, so I have made some stuff up.
Firstly, it is a very extravagant bloom, and the nearest thing I've ever seen that is such a fine yellow is a banana, so I have named the flower Extravaganza Bananamour, which has the right balance of pomposity and unthinking silliness.
I have to tell you that I didn't make up the word "bananamour" and first encountered it when I bought the album containing the song below, which is performed by Kevin Ayers; the album is titled Bananamour. The song is a tribute to the founder of Pink Floyd, who was no less eccentric than Mr. Ayers but didn't last as long, sadly.

Got this dress and it was in a bit of a state, but knowing how valuable it is I have repaired it and am quite proud of the result. Barbie looks adorable in her outfit and her new 'swept' hairdo. Laney :¬)xx

Cinema Extravaganza is a small Portuguese cinema/theatre, which opened in the 1940s. It has been abandoned for over 15 years.
The white tablecloth paired with the multicoloured paper plates and cups, the sausage rolls, crisps and cake. This could only be one thing. A child's birthday party but not just any old birthday party. You are viewing an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday extravaganza! A different photo but certainly a wonderful addition and a perfect summer's day scene.
