On January 20, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), in partnership with the Japanese Mission to the European Union, hosted Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida to deliver a keynote address on the future of Japan’s relationship with Europe and NATO. Opening remarks were offered by Marc Leland, chairman of GMF, and comments were provided by Alexander Vershbow, deputy secretary general of NATO, and Ugo Astuto, acting managing director of the Asia and the Pacific department, European External Action Service (EEAS).

Soldiers and Airmen from the Virginia National Guard's Fort Pickett-based 34th Civil Support Team conduct a field training exercise Nov. 18, 2014, at the Port of Richmond in Richmond, Va., to prepare for an external evaluation scheduled for June 2015. The 34th CST is externally evaluated every 18 months to validate they are able to effectively execute their mission of providing support to first responders in potential biological, chemical, nuclear, radiological and explosive incidents. They earned a “T” for trained rating on 12 collective tasks and an overall assessment rating of “Fully Mission Capable” following a Training Proficiency Evaluation proctored by U.S. Army North’s Civil Support Readiness Group-East Dec. 3 and 5, 2013. Observer controller / trainers from U.S. Army North were on hand for the FTX at the port to assist with the creation of a realistic scenario and provide feedback on the exercise to help leaders plan their training for the next six months to prepare for the evaluation in 2015. I been sitting on this pic for a minute, I shoulda posted it for Chris sometime ago. Chris likes to help me sometimes when I go on location, he is an excellent driver too, he loves to drive my vehicles around with me in them, he also makes a great slave flash holder as well. Overall he is a great friend, we have had many great adventures and I'm sure were gonna have more.

Monday night skate jams at The Palm Springs skate park, I set up two cheap flashes powered by my Paul Buff CyberCyncs. I had about 10 mins to set up and shoot as many photos as I could. I had a blast skating then squeezing in some photog time.
Yes, this is the famous bag of popcorn that I ate, I did not know at the time that the bag was "Medical Popcorn", these two lovely people let me eat the entire bag shortly after taking this picture, they also failed to tell me it was WEEED POPCORN!!! I had an epic time tryin to sleep this night. Ah to be young.

The great gate stands to the north of the entrance forecourt (jilaukhana) and provides a symbolic transition between the worldly realm of bazaars and caravanserai and the spiritual realm of the paradise garden, mosque and the mausoleum. Its rectangular plan is a variation of the 9-part hasht bihisht plan found in the mausoleum. The corners are articulated with octagonal towers giving the structure a defensive appearance. External domes were reserved for tombs and mosques and so the large central space does not receive any outward expression of its internal dome. From within the great gate, the Mausoleum is framed by the pointed arch of the portal. Inscriptions from the Qu'ran are inlaid around the two northern and southern pishtaqs, the southern one 'Daybreak' invites believers to enter the garden of paradise.

KAMAN SH-2F SEASPRITE
The Seasprite is a light anti-submarine helicopter designed to be operated from smaller warships such as destroyers and frigates.
The original design dates to 1957 and a Navy requirement for a light utility helicopter. Kaman won the contract and began producing the HU2K-1 in 1962. This aircraft would later be redesignated the SH-2 and named "Seasprite.”
In the late 1960s the Navy began to look for an anti-submarine helicopter that would be small enough to operate from destroyers and frigates. The Seasprite proved to be perfect for the job and the SH-2D version was introduced. The most significant upgrades to the design were the addition of a second engine and external weapon mounting points.
The SH-2D entered service in 1971. By the mid-1980s virtually all the Seasprites built had been upgraded to SH-3F status with further electronic improvements. Seasprites remain in limited Navy service today and in the service of several other nations, including New Zealand, Australia, Egypt, and Poland.

It features autoexposure, autofocusing from 50 mm to infinity, and video capture at 30 frames per second in 24-bit colour with a variety of shutter speeds. However, the iSight has an image delay of approximately 120 ms.
