how far can devotion go? well it can go as far as your faith tells you to. from the dawn of civilization people have been showing their veneration to god through different methods which only the individual will see fit in his own way to express his devotion. many of these ways have become customs and traditions in different cultures. to some it may even be caring for a statue of the child jesus and caring for it just like a child, bathing it and changing its clothes everyday because they believe this form of expression of their devotion will bring them security and good blessings. in manila there is an industry that makes a living out of selling clothes for different saints for any occasion or just for daily use. some of these clothes are very elaborate and very colourful!

Here's one of the 60 children that Los Quinchos help to feed with the nurse that is just as loving to the children as their mothers would be. Alot of the children here are so affectionate and so loving. I remembered when she (the little girl) had to go to a potty break. She was scared, so she took me by my hand and led me to the latrina. It was so adorable to see her trusting me like that

Submitted for Active Assignment Weekly: Body Parts Alive

The challenge for this week is to take a photo of a body part or parts. This could lend itself to some artsy stuff which, of course, should be appropriate for all audiences and sensibilities.

I love his expression.

This is my daughter with my cousin. I chose b/w -> sepia as my cousin

was wearing dark blue dress which was taking more attention than my

daughter's expression.

The grain is intentional!!

Lastly.. nothing in this photo matters to me more than the

innocent expression!! Can't beat that!!

My cursive handwriting on the left (terrible, yes, I know xD) and some sheet music for a duet I'm doing with my best friend on the right.

I was wondering, do the angles of these two pictures look kinda weird together? I'm not sure. :\

By the way, does anybody want to do a diptych/triptych thing together? Just wondering, I thought it might be cool. If you do, send me a flickrmail. :)

ODC-FACIAL EXPRESSION

At first sight not a good one... But the more I look at it. The more I like it.......

I discovered that many times the expressions of the people around the subject are even more interesting.....a few of those pics......

This graffiti tunnel is on the campus of NC State in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Free expression within the confines of this tunnel has been a long celebrated tradition of NC State University. Members of the campus community are welcome to express ideas and thoughts.

The tunnel, originally built in 1939, was made accessible and rededicated August 2006. The tunnel allows for easy passage from one section of the campus to another under a railroad track that passes nearby the campus.

I dunno - it looks like an expression to me. This is one of the I think 5 or 6 feral cats my neighbor cares for. She is losing her home but used her tax return last year to trap 5 of them, then had them spayed/neutered. She keeps the door in the basement open at night until they are all in, thus letting out the heat, but the cats are safe. She feeds them and loves them best she can. She is one awesome lady.

I am not on this planet to get something done - the things we accomplish are expressions of our purpose.
