No, I could not tell you what she was thinking.

I took this picture when I first became a photographer. Would it be better in black and white?

I don't know why it was looking at me with this awkward expression..

I liked it's expression and that is why I took a shot of this Cat.. :)

I've been waiting to do an order like this for ages! Originally seen in the Planet Cake book, and then some wonderful variations around Flickr, I was so excited to finally make my own variation of these baby expression cupcakes.

Classic vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and finished with sugarpaste.

Ordered for a baby shower.

Haven't been getting time to post all my cake pics up so will try and catch up over the next few days.

Love without expression, I might be wrong. Love need expression!!!!!

The phrase "when pigs fly" (alternatively, "pigs might fly") is an adynaton—a figure of speech so hyperbolic that it describes an impossibility. The implication of such a phrase is that the circumstances in question will never occur. The phrase has been used in various forms since the 1600s as a sarcastic remark.

An example occurs in the film The Eagle Has Landed: an Irish secret agent working for the Nazis replies to a German general speaking of Germany's shortly winning World War II, "Pigs may fly, General, but I doubt it!" Later, when the Irishman sees German soldiers parachuting before an attack, he says to himself, "Mother of God! Flying pigs!"

Similar phrases in English include "when hell freezes over", the Latin expression "to the Greek calends", and "and monkeys might fly out of my butt", popularized in Wayne's World skits and movies. They are examples of adynata. In Finnish, the expression "kun lehmät lentävät" (when cows fly) is used because of its alliteration. In French, the most common expression is "quand les poules auront des dents" (when hens will have teeth). In medieval Hebrew manuscripts, the expression "until the donkey ascends the ladder" is attested.

Great way to express love by these swans.....

Sometimes it is very difficult to get the real expression of your subject in a portrait shot especially when you have the subject posed for you. He/she will be so aware of the camera and they tend to hide the real self in front of the camera.

In the classic case of portrait shot of Churchill, Karsh intentionally took away the cigar of Churchill. The prime minister was not so pleased about that. His grumpy expression was what Karsh wanted and it is a real expression.

This is not so easy to be replicated by other photographers. That is why we like to shoot candid because those are real expressions that you will not find in posed shots.

We have lots of rain in the weekend. I stayed indoor and was not sure if this will be something called real expression.

"I hold a beast, an angel, and a madman in me, and my enquiry is as to their working, and my problem is their subjugation and victory, down throw and upheaval, and my effort is their self-expression."

This man was standing at Nishad Ghat in Varanasi (Benaras) where he came to bath in the holy waters of the Ganges early in the morning.

We could feel a cool breeze and a few drops of water annoucing the eagerly awaited monsoon…

Bench Monday

I snapped this out the Jeep window. The expressions of the two sitting on the bench were amazingly different.

Dear friends and sundry viewers .... no matter how you are feeling over the holidays .... whether it be happy, sad, lonely, angry, elated, worried, isolated, healthy, ill, joyous, ticked off .... I wish you well. I hope you survive it, and that it is a peaceful time for you, one and all.

Cheers,

we all have different toys with which we occupy our time

Moai are carved in relatively flat planes, the faces bearing proud but enigmatic expressions.

This photo was taken in January, but could've been taken yesterday with a different expression.

Grabbed this great expression during a shoot at Dubbo Zoo (NSW; Australia) with long time friend and fellow flickr photographer Joe Micallef a couple of days ago.

Don't know if you're familiar with the game - but I thought this guy was the model on which that game is named!!!
