At the foot of the plateau of Fort du Kremlin-Bicêtre, the day withdraws in a quiet, measured breath. The sun settles along the horizon line, dissolving into a band of molten gold, while the sky unfolds in delicate layers — amber fading into grey-blue, like a memory slowly cooling.
The silhouettes of the city rest in stillness, dark and grounded, as if holding the last warmth of the light. Above them, thin veils of clouds stretch across the atmosphere, diffusing the glow into soft, luminous gradients. There is no wind, no urgency — only a suspended moment where light becomes matter, and time briefly lingers.
This is not just a sunset; it is a threshold. A fragile edge between presence and disappearance, where the landscape absorbs the last energy of the day and prepares, almost imperceptibly, for the arrival of night.

We were out here for a lightpainting session with @ill.lumen.nation. As everyone wrapped up and left, I thought that the dam by itself, without any lights or steel wool, was interesting by itself. So I took this long exposure. It actually took a few tries, because everyone turned on lights as they were leaving, and I had to keep asking people to point their lights away from the dam. Hate those push photographers. 😎
