There are numbers and letters carved into this pine, and the light reflecting off the tree was perfect.
So having climbed up Mt Vesuvius first thing the same morning it was so powerful to visit Herculaneum the lesser regarded town that was destroyed in the eruption of 79AD.
A much smaller site with very rich mosaics and multi-floored homes, it is a site of wealth and power. To capture an image of the excavation of Herculaneum and the modern town of Ercolano under the watchful eye of Mt Vesuvius the destroyer of towns sent shivers down my spine.

There's only one way to get around London & thats on foot, or even better, a unicycle.
So I first seen the Anonymus statue when I visited back in 2017 and was somewhat mesmerised by it then as I was this time. The statue is of a man who was once a notary and chronicler for a Hungarian king. The man's identity however has been vastly debated over the years to the point he is only known as Anonymus.

One of the worlds most visited icons was rejected by various Parisian communities sparking protests before the Eiffel Tower was constructed in the 1880’s. This just shows the results of perseverance and to never giving up on your dreams and that nothing is impossible if you stay focused on your goal. Keep dreaming and you too can change the world.

the beach is a beautiful experience during the day, but it can be even more majestic at night – in the dark. mixing my love of light painting with my love of star trails this capture represents a two hour stretch of activity on Panama City Beach in Florida. – enjoy.
