When we arrived, these two bulls already stood in the lake and confronted each other. It seemed like the left one was the aggressor.
They stopped, got away from each other, just to turn around and charge again. In between both left the water and we thought it was over, but they came back, out of the bushes, only a minute later and once again the angry one chased his opponent into the water once again and it started all over.
Considering the time-infos in my pictures they fought for half an hour straight.
I got over 400 pictures and several minutes of video from that astonishing sighting.
Seen from above on the eastern side of Hallingdal, just south of Flå, Hallingdalselva winds through the valley floor in a series of broad curves framed by farmland, forested hills and exposed rock. The pale sandbanks reveal the river's constant work of reshaping the landscape, while the dramatic cloud cover adds depth and atmosphere to the scene. This 360-degree aerial view captures the relationship between water, geology and human settlement in one of Norway's most characteristic river valleys.
Fun fact: Hallingdalselva is one of Norway's major inland rivers and has spent thousands of years carving and reshaping the valley floor, creating the meanders and sandbanks visible from above today.

So here you get served the full story in one shot. Not easy to archive but finally pretty happy with the result. It was a magical evening at Hornisgrinde, Northern Black Forest. All the elements came together, earth, moon and sun were aligned and the weather on planet 3 was beautiful. A view which will never happen again. Thankful for the privilege being there!
