Utah State Route 24 stretches arrow-straight toward the towering sandstone cliffs of Capitol Reef, shot from a low angle that makes the yellow center line feel like a compass needle pointing into the heart of the American Southwest. Dramatic cumulus clouds billow over the mesa tops, casting shifting shadows across the burnt-orange rock while scrubby junipers line the roadside like patient sentinels. The light is broad and honest — midday sun with enough cloud cover to add depth without washing out the geology. A quintessential Utah two-lane, where the landscape does all the talking.

It was quite a challenge to capture this turbulent flow of water and doing a long exposure to catch the smooth flow of water and also there was a lot of haze with the light (which helped in my edit though) and the water particles as a result a beautiful partial rainbow in the making..
