In 1904, a devastating fire left Ålesund in ruins, destroying almost the entire town. But out of the disaster came a masterpiece! Thanks to an inspiring reconstruction effort - and the support of the German Emperor William II - Ålesund was reborn in glorious Art Nouveau style, becoming the architectural jewel that dazzles visitors today.
Today, amidst imposing fjords and sculptured facades, this town is proof that beauty can emerge even from the greatest adversity.

This is not much of a waterfall to admire in December as water was less compared to rainy season . Located about 45 km away from the city. Access to the waterfall is ardous as one has to climb down and climb up a flight of 1100 stairs. Its extremely tiresome doing the flight of stairs.
A Photohike on the Bergheidenweg in the Eifel – I started with doubts: too many clouds, fading heather. But then the sky opened, and a perfect sunstar appeared above the path. A moment of light and silence. 🌄✨
