Deadvlei, located in Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft Park, is a surreal clay pan flanked by towering red dunes. These ancient, sun-scorched camelthorn trees have stood lifeless for over 600 years — preserved in haunting beauty under Namibia’s relentless sun. A place where silence speaks, and time stands still.
From my recent trip to Colorado...shot this vista with the sudden thunderstorms and light hovering over the mountains

It is not the first time I captured this fallen tree in lake Bruchtalsee but it is the first time in black and white. The water isn't that smooth every day, which allows to gain that look and the reflections of the reed.

Cronk ny Merriu is an excellent example of a Manx promontory fort - Ken gave us an interesting talk about it, including how many people (and animals) that might have lived in the long house that was once there. There was already someone settled there and looking out to sea.
