My 58th image on explore (03/07/2024) reaching No. 152!
The architectural restoration and revival of Kings Cross station, in London.
At the time of completion the new roof was (and may still be) the longest single-span structure in Europe, and won over 30 international design awards, including the Europa Nostra Prize for Cultural Heritage.
3-shot HDR taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G lens, blended in Photomatix, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

The Brown Thrasher is a determined bird in our garden area. She has, in all, chosen three different sites for her nest only to have two of them raided by unknown predators. She is now sitting on eggs again..this time in the seclusion of the lower branches of an ornamental fir tree.

DAY 126 OF THE TOOTH: "OK, so I'm not supposed to tear into this area rug because why?" 6-month-old Tooth Barkington the cairn terrier (aka The Tooth) has teeth and must chew. On pretty much anything. He even gnaws on the stone hearth (real stone, not that faux veneer stuff) in front of the fireplace. I have fond memories of this days in the Alps. Although, one incident wasn't so nice. Two of our cycling group had a heated conversation that degenerated. One had his eyes wide shut like two threads and the other was screaming with his mouth wide open. All shook up.
Better not to mess with those two. I thought, well, they're not going to embrace each other anymore today. Nobody is perfect. The rest of us decided to check out the trail just around the corner. It looked like halfway to heaven. I'll show you where it ended, in the first comment, but 3 years before.
BTW; it was was only a little lake, but on the way we had a fairytale view to the valley and Lake Königssee. [de.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%B6nigssee] thx wiki.

تخبئهما تحت نظارتها الزجاجيه غير الطبيه
حتى تمنع بحر عينيها بان يثور و يغرق اقنعتها

Hand Held HDR, spent ages trying to find one of those spikey ball things (I guess they are seeds), so I could set a shot like this up, well I couldn't find one, so I carried on then stumbled across this one at the north end of Bethells. It was a bit water logged so doesn't look fantastic.
I've become such a bad flickr contact! I haven't been home in a week, and I've been without a computer so I haven't been able to upload anything or comment back on all of your guys' lovely photos! I will get better, I promise. <333

Taken a few weeks ago - I've not managed to get out with the camera much since - mostly due to all the storms we've been having - but I'm always ready in case a spectacular sunrise decides to make an appearence!!
I know I have took and posted a similar picture before but this was taken with my new Hi Tech 10mm 10 stop filter with a lee 0.6 ND grad so wanted to show everyone.
The sky was quite white at this point but the nd grad bought back some detail.
i did colour correct this but decided it actually looked nice with a cooler colour so changed it back slightly.
This is a 130 second exposure thanks to my new Hi Tech filter.
Back to work tomorrow so won't be on as much for a couple of days but will be getting out with my new stuff soon for some picture taking.
My camera was on my tripod and fired via cable release using bulb mode and timed with my watch.
Getting my photo mojo back so I've got lots of ideas springing back into my mind again.
