I have had quite the year. I hit my head last year and developed a bad concussion. This last year has been listening to my lovely nogan and knowing when to push and when to dial it back. Its a balance that often I have had a hard time finding.
Along with my concussion was a re-evaluation of my life. I am 32 and went from 2 jobs, friends, relationship to.. no relationship, taking time off and friends who no longer aligned with my current situation.
What I realized over the months of healing and getting back to work full time is there are SO many things that I could do, rather than focus on the things I couldnt do. What I could enjoy.. was my photography. Which is why I have gone deeper into this lifelong passion of mine this year. I love capturing my adventures and the world around me. Little moments in time I want to try save a moment from for later.
Its been a long lonely year and yet I feel more myself at times more than ever. I have found way more passion and gratitude than I ever have. I have gone on adventures like the ones I share here and learned how to have the courage to do things alone.
My brain injury made me come home to myself and also dive deeper into my photography. And I have found myself wondering.. what are my goals currently? What do I want to achieve? Maybe its finding someone to capture photos with.. but where to share them? Do people care for photos anymore? Do I find a gallery to showcase them? Would people care?
Anyways. There is lots of stigma about concussions which I would love to challenge.
Somehow one of the most challenging things I have had to go through has ended up being the hardest and best lesson the universe could have given me. I just hope one day I have someone to share these adventures with.

Well, I have been quiet lately from flickr. When september hit I felt happily burnt out from the summer and went into more baking and other hobbies. I set my camera down for a rest.
Though when January hit, I felt myself wanting to enjoy our winter in the north, which is very special. So I have been hiking and also bought a new lens!
I hope all my flickr friends are doing well.
