A beautiful tropical scene. Just off secret island, Oahu , Hawaii. Lovely clouds and Mokoli'i (Chinaman's hat) in the background.
Rainbow Falls , Island of Hawaii
In the Hawaiian language, the rainbow falls are called “rainbow [seen in] water”, or Waiānuenue.
On our last trip to Hawaii we landed in Maui. The road to Hana offers many places to stop and cool off. We found this fresh water stream while exploring Twin Falls on a private garden/farm. The most exciting part was finding guppies swimming around totally unbothered by our trudging through their breeding grounds.
The little Hawaiian village Kahakuloa in the lush West Maui Mountains.

Captured at golden hour, this stunning sunset photo from Kōkeʻe Beach Mini Park in Waikiki, Oahu showcases the natural beauty of Hawaii's coastline. The vibrant sky glows with warm tones of orange, yellow, and blue as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean. A windswept tree frames the scene, adding a dramatic silhouette against the colorful horizon. Gentle ocean waves wash over the rocky shoreline, creating a peaceful and serene tropical landscape. A perfect view for sunset lovers, travel photographers, and anyone inspired by Hawaii’s natural scenery.
“Watching sunrise from Magic Island was unforgettable. The city of Waikiki slowly woke behind me while the horizon blazed with soft morning light. With a long exposure, the restless waves melted into a silky calm over the rocks, and the clouds stretched into motion above the skyline. Diamond Head stood timeless in the distance, as if quietly keeping watch. In that blend of movement and stillness, I felt the beauty of beginnings — a reminder that each day starts fresh, full of possibility.”
Looking out from Kualoa Ranch toward Mokoliʻi — “Chinaman’s Hat” — I was struck by how timeless and powerful this view feels. The island rises quietly from the ocean, framed by the lush trees and distant ridges, yet carries a presence that’s impossible to ignore. This place is more than just a backdrop for movies or shows; it holds a kind of spirit, a reminder of the stories, legends, and beauty that flow through Hawai‘i. Standing here, I felt both small and deeply connected — to the land, the sea, and the moment itself.
One of my favourite views on Oahu — looking out over Honolulu with Diamond Head standing proud against the endless blue of the Pacific. I took this shot on a clear day, and everything just lined up perfectly — the light, the sky, the city.
There's something surreal about seeing the contrast between the dense high-rises of Waikiki and the ancient crater that’s watched over this island for centuries. It’s moments like this that remind me why I love coming back to Hawaii. The balance of nature and city, old and new, calm and energy — all in one frame.
Captured from Tantalus Lookout - Puu Ualakaa State Park, this scene feels like the perfect postcard — but even better in person.
There are places in the world where fiction and reality blur, and Kualoa Ranch is one of them. Standing before these towering cliffs, it’s impossible not to feel the echoes of LOST. This valley served as a backdrop for so many pivotal moments in the series—scenes of mystery, survival, and the unexplainable. Yet beyond the screen, the land itself holds a deeper power: raw, ancient, and humbling. The black-and-white tones only deepen the sense of timelessness here, as if the island itself is whispering secrets older than any story we tell.
The first light of dawn spills across the volcanic rocks of Sandy Beach, where the Pacific breathes in soft golden rhythm. The tide moves gently through tidal pools, mirroring clouds brushed in pink and fire as night surrenders to morning. There’s a stillness in this place—between each wave and each heartbeat—that feels like the world beginning again.
A photograph of quiet power and renewal, taken at sunrise along Oʻahu’s rugged southeastern shore—where sky, sea, and stone meet in a moment that feels eternal.

On the Road to Hana, we were soon to realize that there were waterfalls everywhere. The lush jungle is home to many secret gems like this that make you feel like you're the first person to ever visit them.

A tropical moment straight out of paradise 🍹🌴 — a curious little Hawaiian gecko stopping by for a sip of coconut water under a paper umbrella. Proof that even island locals know how to enjoy a good beach drink! ☀️
Life in Hawai‘i is full of small, colorful surprises — and this one might just be the cutest cocktail companion you’ll ever meet.
Kualoa Ranch has a way of stopping time. The ridges rise like ancient guardians, draped in green, holding stories older than memory itself. For fans of LOST, this valley carries an extra weight — it’s where the Island came alive, where mystery and survival unfolded against a backdrop so raw and powerful it felt like a character of its own. Standing here, it’s easy to understand why. The silence between the trees feels charged, the air heavy with both history and imagination. It’s not just a filming location — it’s a place that makes you believe in the Island’s magic all over again.

Such a serene view of the Byodo-In Temple, located in the Valley of the Temples on Oahu, Hawaii. This stunning Japanese-inspired structure features traditional red and white architecture with intricate detailing and curved rooftops. Surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees, the temple reflects beautifully in the calm waters of the pond in the foreground. The misty mountains in the distance add to the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of this sacred site.
