Bear Gulch Caves exploration! This was during me and my cousin’s Labor Day hiking adventure at Pinnacles National Park. The park is located east of the Salinas Valley in Central California, about 5 miles east of Soledad and 80 miles southeast of San Jose, CA. We hiked thru trails with stunning scenic views, climbed and crawled thru the Bear Gulch Caves and more, then rested up and soaked in the views around the Bear Gulch Reservoir. The weather was a bit on the warm side so it was a bit uncomfortable during the first half of the hike but it cooled down as it got later (and was much cooler once in the caves). We tried to attempt to make the sunset at the coast after our hike, but we decided we have cut it too close so we just stopped for dinner around Hollister, mainly to finish our leftovers from lunch (Sonic) and grub on some goodies we grabbed from a 7-Eleven store there lol. What a fun adventure we had! ‘Til next time, safe travels! (Outing taken place Monday, September 2, 2024)
*A bit about this park: Around 23 million years ago, a series of volcanic eruptions shaped the landscape that is now Pinnacles National Park. The remnants of these ancient eruptions have formed a striking terrain of rocky spires and deep canyons. Visitors can explore diverse environments, from chaparral and oak woodlands to the cool, shaded depths of canyon floors. Certainly, this place is a must-visit if you are seeking for an adventure!

Once students were moved into their dorms, they gathered in the Memorial Union underground to bowl, play pool and other arcade games.
