Fred Schaefer of the University of the Sciences, conducts an explosion experiment with frozen carbon dioxide at Earth, Bread and Brewery in Mount Airy, Philadelphia. Tonight's experiments were part of the 10 day Philadelphia Science Festival and here he was assisted by Faye Flam, who writes about evolution in her "Planet of the Apes" column in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Schaefer holds "tabletop science" evenings once a month at the restaurant! Watch video here
You simply cannot have a show about Indiana Jones without one of the most famous movies scenes. Indy and Marian are running away from the exploding plane. Off camera and to the right was a fire crew monitoring the flames. Indy and Marian literally sprinted to get away from the plane. From my location in the viewing area, I could feel the heat from the flames. After the stunt doubles were clear of the set and in a place of safety, the crowd cheered.

A concrete dolphin (a mooring aid) at the Port of Dover being demolished by explosion. Apparently Norfolk Line ferries were finding it 'too difficult' to navigate around!
A hard rainstorm was letting up right at sunrise. I shot this photo right above where the drops where landing on a railing. The sunrise provided an amazing background.
