FORT STEWART, Ga. -- Fireworks explode with colorful report during Fort Stewart’s Salute to the Nation and fireworks display held here at Cottrell Field in honor of our Nation’s Independence Day, July 3. Family, Soldiers and community members alike were in attendance, filling up the parade field as well as multiple open areas surrounding the field. The Salute to the Nation consisted of Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery Regiment “Glory Guns”, Division Artillery, 3rd Infantry Division, firing a cannon blast after each state and U.S. territory was announced during a national role-call. Directly after the resounding salute, attendees we entertained with a dazzling display of pyrotechnic wonder with a fine showing of fireworks. (U.S. Army Photo by Staff Sgt.
