Next stop was LaPaz Waterfall Gardens where we had delicious lunch. Tauck has great meals in that they control lots of visitors to your restaurant. They had Hummingbird Garden. Hummingbird wings resemble Robins wings. Butterfly Observatory, Orchids, Frogs, Wild Cats and other birds and animals. Employee naturalists escorted small groups to explain and answer your questions. Tauck feels it beneficail for their clients to view, but also to learn about people, environment and politics.
This cartoon explains that because of the technology available, people find it hard to get away from their cell phones. Whether it be games, email, facebook, or other interesting applications, people often find themselves close by or on their cell phones. It would not be hard to find a couple, family or friends who exchanged a text message while sitting across from each other at dinner.
The sign on the wing explains that this aircraft is resting on its nose because the pilot's weight is used to counterbalance the rear engine. Empty, the plane weighs about 900 pounds and a light breeze could flip it over backwards. This was designed by Burt Rutan.

The ancient Roman walls of Leon had four entrances, one for each of the four cardinal compass points and they provided access to the four principal streets of the town.
The Arch of the Prison or Castle Gate is one of these entrances and the only one which survived after the Bishop's gate, which was located between the Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace, was demolished in 1910. The present arch was reconstructed in the 18th century but conserves part of the original medieval structure as can be seen from various inscriptions. Nowadays it serves to connect the Plaza de Espolon and the Plaza de Puerta del Castillo.
The name Prison Arch was adopted from the castle alongside, which in its day served as the city prison. It is said that this building was built on the Roman wall in the middle ages taking advantage of the fortifications tha t ajready existed.
in 1649 the Duke of Hijar was imprisoned accused of consonpiracy against Felipe IV and he died there after 15 years of imprisonment. Over the years it was used intermittently as a place of reclusion until 1976 when it assumed the function of storing the Historic Archives of the City of Leon. A function it continues to carry out to this day.

The presenter of the Artillery Demonstration as he was explaining Revolutionary War artillery tactics...He was rather good at it, quite funny too
I was the cinematographer for a short film that took place along the central California coast and brought along my Olympus OM-G for myself.
This here is James. He was our sound mixer and boom operator for the short. He was a pretty cool guy and I took this when we broke for lunch. I converted it to black and white because the fog in the background adds a level of emotion to the shoot which I really love.

Seen on August 17, 2011, on a dead-end farm road in Columbia County, New York, USA--a 5-minute drive from my home. This is the road that had the highest concentration of Evening Primrose plants. We had visited several times, looking for Primrose Moths or Primrose Moth Caterpillars. The seedpods were ripening & we were hoping to harvest some, so we could raise the plants at home for next year. I arrived on the 17th to find that a 5-foot swath by the road, on both sides, had been mowed. No more Goldenrod nor Queen Anne's Lace nor Evening Primrose remained. The whole habitat was completely wiped out. I wonder why? If anyone has a practical reason, I'd love to hear it.
