Professor Amanda Falk and Erika Brewer perform an experiment run with a Japanese quail. Brewer is studying dust bathing behavior and examining how changing the sediment grain size and how much moisture is present changes how the bird dust bathes. Brewer is also looking at how the dust bath itself—the trace left in the sand—looks with different grain sizes and moisture contents.

Outplay all other teams through the physical challenges. Outthink them in the puzzles and conundrums and Out-Strategise them as you attempt to become the strongest surviving team by the end of the Team Survivor challenge. Inspired by the TV show this activity is the perfect mix of action, strategy and stamina.
Teams will negotiate obstacle courses to get to the puzzle first, only to be beaten by a team that is slower over the obstacles, but faster with a puzzle. Other times you’ll win a challenge and, having played your ‘Redemption Card’, will have the right to redeem double to points for that activity. Of course playing a Redemption Card carries the risk of losing twice as many points should you fail – so your strategy against other teams is all important.
Accuracy, speed, stamina and the ability to think laterally under pressure will win you the challenges. But even with the challenges on your side, can your team make the bold moves needed to blind side your competitors and and test team alliances?
