I had never been up beyond Shepherds Pass, so I didn't know what to expect. Turned out to be a beautiful day. I managed to bag both Williamson and Tyndall. But when I descended Tyndall, I got totally off track and it turned into a super long (29 hour?) dayhike. So I guess it wasn't a dayhike...

whilst checking RTT, I had noticed that 66783 'The flying dustman" was passing by on an aggregates service. This locomotive being one of the Lickey Incline banking locomotives.

The event, organised by InterTradeIreland in association with the Irish Presidency of the EU Council, showcased the assistance that will be available to companies in Northern Ireland, Ireland and Europe to prepare for the upcoming expected €70 billion R&D and innovation fund Horizon 2020.

Expecting an easy meal, the recently fledged female peregrine follows its mother onto the support beam of a bridge. The juvenile peregrine is anxiously calling to its parent, begging for a piece of the pigeon. The youngster fledged July 30. This picture was taken August 8, 2011.
