Back to the sunrise photos. I had these ready to upload, but was tired of the same thing again and again. So I had some sunsets with lighthouses, but I'm back with these.
MADRID, SPAIN - FEBRUARY 22: Next Thursday, February 29, the five giant panda bears from the Madrid Zoo Aquarium will leave the city for China, their country of origin. In the image, you can see a member of this family who arrived in the capital 17 years ago as part of a technical cooperation project between China and Spain on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Madrid Zoo Aquarium, in Madrid (Spain). The return of the five giant panda bears to China marks the end of their time in Madrid, a place where another pair of these animals will come in the coming months. The mayor of Madrid, Jose Luis Martinez-Almeida, together with the Chinese ambassador, Yao Jing, and the CEO of Parques Unidos, Pascal Ferracci, held a farewell event for the breeding pair, Hua Zui Ba and Bing Xing, who arrived in Madrid from the giant panda cubs base in Chengdu (China). During the event, the Spanish capital renewed its institutional commitment to the Asian country for the breeding and protection of giant pandas bears, a "national treasure" of China that until not long ago was in danger of extinction. "The giant pandas bears are messengers of friendship between the Chinese and Spanish peoples and I have every conviction that, with the arrival of the new pair of pandas, this friendly relationship that has lasted more than 40 years will continue," declared the ambassador of China, Yao Jing. This new agreement between Madrid and the Chinese Wildlife Conservation Association (CWCA, for its acronym in English) replaces the previous one, signed in 2007, and which marked the arrival in the capital of the breeding pair Hua Zui Ba and Bing Xing, from the giant panda bear breeding base in Chengdu. 17 years since then, the family has grown in the care of the Madrid Aquarium Zoo to five. En la imagen, se puede apreciar a un miembro de esta familia que llegó a la capital hace 17 años como parte de un proyecto de cooperación técnica entre China y España, hoy, jueves 22 de febrero de 2024, en el Zoo Aquarium de Madrid (España). El regreso de los cinco osos panda gigantes a China marca el final de su etapa en Madrid, lugar al que en los próximos meses vendrá otra pareja. El alcalde de Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, junto al embajador de China, Yao Jing, y el consejero delegado de Parques Unidos, Pascal Ferracci, llevaron a cabo un evento de despedida para la pareja reproductora, Hua Zui Ba y Bing Xing, quienes llegaron a Madrid desde la base de crías del oso panda gigante de Chengdu (China). Durante el acto, la capital española ha renovado el compromiso institucional con el país asiático para la cría y protección de los osos panda gigantes, un "tesoro nacional" de China que hasta hace no mucho estaba en peligro de extinción. “Los osos panda gigantes son mensajeros de la amistad entre los pueblos chino y español y tengo toda la convicción de que, con la llegada de la nueva pareja de pandas, continuará esta relación amistosa que ha durado más de 40 años", declaró el embajador de China, Yao Jing. Wasn't expecting to see this in Coxheath near Maidstone, and this ex Swallow's Buses of Essex vehicle, is now used by Rumwoods Garden Farms to transport Farm workers around Five Wents and Langley Heath, and is used along with many other vehicles, including some ex Stagecoach Vehicles, and according to Google Maps Satellite Imagery many other Farm Workers Buses can be found around according to Recently Updated Google Maps Satellite Imagery some others can still be found around Five Wents, Langley, Langley Heath, Warmlake, Chart Sutton, Sutton Valence, Linton, Collier Street, Yalding, Coxheath and Mereworth, all near Maidstone in Kent.
This World Class attraction was everything we expected and more. Construction has just begun on a major expansion, but that has been managed in such a way that it does not in any way detract from the experience now.
This album focuses on the artwork inside the buildings and on the other interior spaces including the Eleven Restaurant and the Gift Shop. A separate album posted a few days ago is devoted to the two April mornings that we spent exploring just some of the trails that crisscross the 120 acres of Arkansas forest around the museum.
Alice Walton and her co-creative team can be proud of the vision and execution of everything on this 120 acre site.

The sun came out this afternoon, low and golden, even before the rain had stopped stopped. Expecting to get wet I went out into the rich and warm color, not wanting the day to end.
“Expected=Unexpected” was kind of a follow up to that epic illustration project known as “Floor Three” which spawned a very epic “Divas and Animals” 2023 Superfinale. Here we have Melissa and her crew making a return to the Rahr in the Consumer Car in the most unusual way as the vehicle enters the gallery in some sort of a supernatural way. The inspiration of the Consumer Car’s return at the Rahr was from that Apple iPhone commercial where one guy is playing a game on his phone and he’s capitulated up in the air in the most unusual way (and that soundtrack to that commercial is STILL EMBEDDED IN MY HEAD. AAGH) and then he crashes through the roofs of many random places and then lands in a seat of a subway train.

Produced for Army cooperation and expected to perform not only liaison but reconnaissance and even close air support, The RAF's Lysanders got a very rude shock in the Battle of France and were not subsequently deployed near the front lines. However, the aircraft's short-field performance and robustness kept it in the liaison business: its slow speed gave it a career searching the English Channel for downed airmen and it ultimately found its metier as an agent transport in the cloak and dagger world of the Secret Service and Special Operations Executive. Flying to France at night, dodging night-fighters and flak, and landing in fields lit by Resistance torches (one hoped!) to drop off and recover people and equipment is portrayed as extremely dangerous work. The statistics of the operations do not bear this out, with very few losses of aircraft and almost all the aircrew and passengers who were involved in a pile-up recovered by the next mission or transported via escape lines to neutral Spain and thence home via Gibraltar. The Shuttleworth Trust's Lysander IIIa is configured as a Special Duties aircraft and seen here demonstrating its STOL capability taking off from Old Warden to display in the Season Premiere Airshow 2025.

Unexpected: my daughter came back from her school trip to the new Transport Museum with little presents for everyon in the family...I got this new car! Always nice when you get an unexpected present from someone you love....the cars going to work with me and can sit on my desk t remind me.
Expected: the god awfully bad customer service experience continues. Repeated calls today have managed to force some sort of progress from the incompetent company....they finally managed to get the boiler part delivered to them today but it seems it will take another two days for an engineer to come out and fit it. If this happens as promised (which I doubt) that will be a grand total of nine days without heating and hot water. It also seems that today they finally realised that we should be a priority as we had a complete loss of heating and hot water.....this depite the fact they have been told as much every single day since last Wednesday by us!
PS: I beleive that once this company have finally manged to get our boiler fixed that they have plans to expand their business into organising a p*ss up in brewery....I have my doubts that they will be succesful though...
