on my after-dinner walk i expected to be bored until i saw a man & woman stop & bend over laughing. then they walked off.

out of the corner of my eye i saw this lovely creature snuffing on someone's lawn ~ for a long time! she (?) didn't mind me clicking away and standing there for the duration. a small crowd of humans gathered (across the street - scaredy cats!). i don't know what she was eating, but the lawn was well dug up. i have a few more i'll put here tomorrow. it was almost dark after 8 PM, so i had to rev up the gimp machine to even see any color. i love the way she fans her tail out!

at a walk through roshkani we met this old house....a scary one...somehow...with broken windows and with a lot of things inside...as someone lives there even now...clothes on the bed....tulips outside and even inside....uhhh...

I had visited Charlotte Amalie before, so I knew to expect non-stop shopping stalls and touts.

Maternity Shoot

This is a picture of a fetal kitten at 8 weeks gestation. The crown-rump length is about 120mm (12cm). The haircoat is longer than before and has thickened greatly, covering the entire surface of the body. This hair is pigmented now and the fur colour that the kitten would have had in life is now quite evident (grey). You can see that the skin covering the surface of the fetus is quite wrinkled, particularly in the neck, armpit and jawline regions.

Expecting a treat

I had expected a very posh affair but these were little cattlecars. Fortunately it was a pretty empty train, which makes me wonder how they afford to operate.

O segundo domingo do Festival Galo Duro superou as expectativas de público, coroando o evento como o mais importante do mês das férias, no interior do estado. Mais de 10 mil pessoas compareceram à plataforma de shows, prestigiando as apresentações das bandas Doce Menina (que fez a abertura da festa), Forrozão Free Lance e Chicletaza; os banhistas deram um baile, literalmente, participando das disputas de dança com muita energia e vibração, contagiando a galera, que foi à loucura, sendo um show à parte, na frente do palco.

Apesar da chuva forte no dia anterior, prejudicando a estrutura principalmente em relação ao estacionamento, a organização arregaçou as mangas e sanou de última hora as dificuldades que apareceram; carradas de areia foram espalhadas no pátio absorvendo toda a água acumulada da chuva, drenou-se grande parte da área de estacionar, possibilitado o uso, a princípio, por motos e logo a seguir também por outros veículos além dos tracionados e – de quebra – a segurança teve um grande teste, conseguindo manter o equilíbrio durante toda a programação, assistindo com todo o aparato necessário para manter o mesmo padrão. Apesar dos contratempos, a grandeza da festa não foi afetada e a massa compareceu em peso!

A banda local “Doce Menina” fez bonito e sacudiu a platéia, com muito swing e harmonia, abrindo com muita energia a série de shows. Em seguida, foi a vez do Forrozão Free Lance, levando todos ao delírio com sua batida firme e sensual e para fechar o dia, a que já é prata da casa, Chicletaza – com sua máxima “ Na batida dos plays”. Um domingo inesquecível, com muita gente bonita circulando, cerveja gelada, comida à vontade e o melhor: “tudo na santa paz!” ... Domingo que vem tem muitomais.

Filha, tem muita água aqui fora também.

I think there's room on the wheel hubs for some more flags ...

Blimey, never expected such a busy looking little interior. Don't think I have seen so many memorials (pomp) in one small church. I actually loved it! As I tried the door I found it locked, I was about to do my usual grumbles and moans when I spied the little sign telling me to use the other door (Priests Door) This is a must if you are a tourist looking for a lovely little church! Spent quite some time here, the views over the hills is lovely too. I am sure a sheep actually growled at me!!!
