Day 2 of the Exit festival in Serbia Novi Sad. The nights started to get longer and tonight was hosted by the Beastie Boys, Go Go Girls in the Dance arena and Drunken Festival Frisbee.
Sometimes all you wanna do is finding the exit. You desperately want to get yourself out of a situation. When it comes to physical places it’s easy, you can find it by yourself using a navigator or asking for directions. You have control on your body and through your actions you simply walk out of there — unless you’re in the middle of a labyrinth.
It’s not always that straightforward when the place in question is intangible, when you’re stuck in your mind, trapped by emotions inside a cage made of memories. Therefore you have to be the Houdini of yourself because if not, nothing’s gonna change and you’ll die there.
But you don’t want this to be the end of your story, do you?
When you’re alone and lost and things don’t turn out to be what you wanted them to be, there’s no navigator nor indication capable of leading you towards the exit. It seems so intricate and complex but your real you is right there, hidden under worries and emotions and memories. Be aware that you don’t need a shuttle or a submarine to get out of where you are, because most of the times the exit is more like a bridge: upshift at the beginning, with a little bit of struggle during the climb, but when you reach the top it’s done, just downshift and go through the exit while enjoying the view.
Something common or unusual can be your escape but you’re not paying attention to it because you’re pretending your mind isn’t even with you anymore. Life is easy if you play it the easy way.
Exit from what is holding you back. Take your bridge. And if there’s traffic, just fly like swallows.

Panorama of Exit Glacier on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. I was expecting the water flowing from Exit glacier to be crystal clear, and was surprised by how cloudy it was. But it all makes sense when you consider the weight of a glacier as it GRINDS its way down the mountain. The sediment produced by this process was so fine the stream remained cloudy for many miles downstream. - Kenai Peninsula, AK
