I was listening to Depeche Mode, maybe not the best choice, gloomy pop music on an already gloomy day, and I was thinking gloomy thoughts at the red light outside the zoo. I'm a Michigan native, I'm used to this winter, but what about the giraffes? There is no winter on the Serengeti. How does a giraffe deal with this? The person behind me when the light changed green was not giving a shit about how giraffes deal with oppressive midwestern winters because she was pretty quick on the horn. I did get the shutter button pressed before that though.

There is a stigma that Parisians are rude but this just isn't true. They keep to themselves rather than engaging themselves in a stranger's affairs and to avoid violating their customs, I didn't take any photos of them intentionally. However, these guys are everywhere too! Paris is filled with stunning statues with unbelievable detail; you won't believe they aren't real!
