This piece, titled “The Silent Gathering,” presents a haunting assembly of mannequins, placed upon wooden pallets in an eerie, fog-filled environment. The varied sizes and shapes of the mannequins suggest different stages of life or fragmented representations of humanity, each standing silently, devoid of heads or facial expressions. The stark lighting and elongated shadows create a sense of mystery and unease, as though the figures are waiting for something, frozen in time. The empty space surrounding the figures heightens the isolation, making them appear disconnected from one another despite their proximity.
The cracked ground beneath them hints at a fragile foundation, symbolizing the instability of identity and existence. This piece invites viewers to contemplate themes of conformity, silence, and the faceless nature of modern society, where individuality is often lost amidst the crowd. The atmosphere of this gathering is both unsettling and contemplative, asking the viewer to reflect on the weight of anonymity and the loss of self in collective environments.

This piece, titled “The Tower of Steps,” presents a surreal composition of mannequin legs and feet, stacked together in a formation that rises upward like a monument. The cracked, barren ground beneath contrasts with the upward motion of the legs, symbolizing the human desire for progress or movement, even when faced with desolation. The rising legs, cut off at the knees, evoke a sense of struggle to ascend or break free, yet their lack of completeness suggests that the journey is unfinished or hindered.
The atmosphere, shrouded in mist, creates an otherworldly mood, as if this structure exists in a liminal space—a place between action and inertia, between freedom and limitation. The scattered legs at the base of the tower further emphasize the fragmentation of identity and purpose, raising questions about whether these isolated parts can ever unite into something whole.

"Penumbra of Thought," my intention was to capture a moment of deep introspection and quiet struggle within a stark, confined environment. This piece explores the interplay of dramatic, almost interrogative light and consuming shadow, suggesting themes of isolation, contemplation, or perhaps a hidden narrative. A lone figure is huddled over a table, their posture suggesting deep thought, exhaustion, or a personal burden, largely obscured by the pervasive darkness.
Intense beams of light stream through a barred window, cutting sharp lines across the dusty floor and illuminating the figure and the scattered objects on the table—a bottle, a glass, papers. These shafts of light create a powerful contrast, emphasizing the figure's solitary existence within the overwhelming gloom. The rough, textured walls and the barred window hint at a sense of confinement or a challenging reality. It's about finding poignant human narratives in overlooked corners, the weight of solitude, and the powerful way light can sculpt both form and emotion in a moment of deep personal reflection.

This piece, titled “The Crate of Forgotten Selves,” captures a surreal and unsettling moment of disarray, as mannequin parts spill out of an oversized crate onto a cracked, desolate ground. The composition symbolizes the chaos of fragmented identity, with torsos, legs, and arms emerging as if they have been stored away, discarded, or forgotten. The headless forms emphasize the anonymity and loss of individuality, suggesting that these “selves” have been stripped of their uniqueness and reduced to parts that no longer fit together.
The foggy, barren landscape further reinforces the feeling of isolation and abandonment, as these pieces of the human form are scattered across a space devoid of life. The crate, now open, hints at the idea of revealing hidden aspects of oneself or confronting parts of our identity that we may have left behind. This piece asks the viewer to consider how we compartmentalize or repress parts of ourselves, and what happens when those aspects are finally brought to light.

This piece, titled “The Reach of the Forgotten,” explores themes of helplessness, longing, and disconnection. The disembodied mannequin arms, scattered across a cracked, desolate landscape, seem to be reaching upward, as if grasping for something just beyond their reach. Above them, headless mannequins stand motionless, observing without the ability to connect or intervene. The fog and muted lighting contribute to an atmosphere of isolation, as if this scene exists in a forgotten realm, where incomplete identities struggle to make themselves whole again.
The juxtaposition of the grounded arms and the standing figures evokes a sense of separation, symbolizing the struggle between aspiration and reality, or the distance between desire and fulfillment. The piece invites viewers to reflect on themes of abandonment, identity, and the human need for connection, even when that connection seems impossible.

This piece, titled “The Climb of Silent Voices,” symbolizes the desperate reach for something beyond reach—whether it’s connection, recognition, or salvation. The mannequin hands, stacked in a climbing formation, represent both unity and isolation. Each hand reaches upward, striving for something unseen, yet they are disembodied, without the ability to grasp. The spotlight above creates a sharp contrast between the hands and the dark, cracked ground, enhancing the feeling of yearning amidst a broken and empty space. The presence of fog in the background adds an ethereal, dreamlike quality, suggesting that the goal they are reaching for may be as intangible as the mist itself.
The arrangement of the hands conveys a collective struggle, a silent chorus of voices attempting to break free or rise above, but there is an undercurrent of futility, as none of them possess the completeness necessary to succeed. This artwork invites viewers to reflect on personal and societal struggles for purpose, identity, and belonging.

It really turns out that you can't print on felt with a needle printer, but you can write on it with a typewriter 😀 *
* The text:
THE FELT IS EMERGING
A philosophical essay.
"In the realm of creative expression, felt emerges—an enigma defying the printed word, yet surrendering to the typewriter's touch. Its essence bewitches, as thoughts cascade like ink, seeking profound significance within human existence.
This fabric resists fixed meanings, mocking text's linearity. A rebellion against homogeneity, it challenges established truths, urging the transcendence of boundaries. Each typewriter keystroke on felt shapes meaning beyond replication—a testament to our creative spirit.
In this encounter, the will to power unfolds—a ceaseless striving for self-affirmation, where the typewriter becomes a conduit. Co-creators, we defy conventions, redefining boundaries, and defying stagnant thought."

My guardian angel has certainly had enough to be completely exhausted over the last few days and weeks. The image (print on handmade paper) was designed by Dall-E 2 and the haiku written by ChatGPT 4 ; on my part, the work consisted of an idea, communicating with the AI, finding the right proportions, etc. And of course my own idea and selection of suitable variants. Tools: Nine-needle printer, electronic typewriter, blue carbon paper, nice handmade paper, and fixative.

This piece is titled “Echoes of the Unseen.” It explores the theme of anonymity in a crowd, where each individual becomes a faceless figure in a sea of likeness. The mannequin heads represent a loss of identity, a common struggle in modern society where the pressure to conform often overshadows personal expression. The fog that drifts through the scene symbolizes the confusion and lack of clarity in finding one’s true self. The heads, stacked and scattered, reflect a world where we often find ourselves surrounded by many but feeling isolated within the masses. The cracked floor suggests a fractured foundation beneath this struggle, adding to the emotional depth of the piece.
The light breaking through the fog implies a hope, a possibility of breaking free from the constraints of anonymity and finding one’s voice. Yet, the overwhelming number of heads signifies that this journey toward self-discovery is often met with challenges, as many are still lost in the fog.

"Threshold of Contemplation," my intention was to explore the starkness of isolation and the powerful sense of a singular presence at a decisive point. This piece focuses on a solitary figure, cast in deep silhouette, seated on a rolling office chair within a dramatically framed doorway. The overwhelming brightness from beyond the threshold emphasizes the figure's anonymity and the profound mystery of what lies ahead or behind them.
The glossy, reflective floor of the dark interior creates a distorted mirror image, blurring the lines between reality and reflection, adding to the unsettling atmosphere. The subtle texture of the walls and the hint of a closed door on the right reinforce the feeling of a confined space. It's about the psychological weight of a moment of decision, the quiet introspection before a major change, and the universal experience of facing an unknown future.

This piece, titled “The Boxed Silence,” explores the tension between exposure and concealment, identity and anonymity. The mannequin torsos, arranged inside and around open crates, appear frozen in a moment of transition—partly revealed but still confined within the boundaries of their wooden enclosures. The headless figures evoke a sense of silence, anonymity, and uniformity, as if the personas within these crates have been stripped of individuality. The cracked ground beneath them adds to the atmosphere of fragility, suggesting that the foundation upon which they stand is unstable, ready to collapse under the weight of unspoken narratives.
The play of light and shadow, coupled with the soft mist in the air, gives the scene an ethereal quality, as though these figures are caught in a liminal space between the past and future, between being seen and being stored away. It invites the viewer to reflect on the parts of our identities that we keep hidden or locked away, only revealing fragments when the moment is right.

The Threshold of Becoming is an image of reckoning a symbolic passage through the chaos of identity, grief, and rebirth. The man walks alone, yet the path is alive around him, shifting violently like red memories, red blood, red silk. The sky does not promise safety, only change. This piece speaks to the sacred violence of transformation. What is left behind burns in waves; what lies ahead is unknown. And yet, the only way forward is through. This is a meditation on the moment when you walk into the storm willingly, knowing you will not return the same.

Procession of the Forgotten speaks to the weight of inherited narratives and the individuals subsumed by them. Each cloaked figure is a whisper of resistance or surrender unclear if they are being led, fleeing, or vanishing into history. The uniformity of the robes suggests unity, but also loss of identity. The dark, tattered ground beneath them mirrors the internal cost of this journey. The viewer is invited to question their place: part of the procession or the last one watching it disappear?

This piece reflects the geometry of silent despair a tableau of the modern condition where anonymity is the cost of professional existence. I wanted to confront the banality of workspaces that stretch into infinity, their sameness a quiet violence against the psyche. The central figure, hunched and cornered by symmetry, is both protagonist and warning. This is a tribute to those buried in plain sight. It is an elegy to the everyday invisible, cloaked in ergonomic sorrow.

“Consequence Theory”
Each step forward is a wager, not against fate, but against our own memory of risk. This piece interrogates the illusion of freedom within predetermined tracks — the zigzag path, the static discs, the narrowing corridor. It is not a maze, but a moral proposition. The question is not where you’re going, but how much you believe you chose it.

"Probability Mask"
What are the odds of becoming who you are? In this visual metaphor, identity is a game of chance — a rolling mask of outcomes. The die-faced figure looks toward a sliver of illumination, suggesting that even in randomness, we crave meaning. "Probability Mask" explores agency, determinism, and the roles we inherit or manufacture under pressure.

"What It Takes to Enter"
This piece is a meditation on the tension between agency and annihilation. The path glows, not with promise, but with the memory of decisions made. The encroaching walls are textured like muscle, like thought—pressing in, not to crush, but to test.
The figure walks not into darkness, but into a becoming—a threshold made of resistance.

“Ascension Protocol” is a meditation on the moment before transformation. The figure, cloaked in anonymity, walks a staircase that leads not upward, but inward — toward judgment, transcendence, or erasure. The spotlight from above is not mercy, but surveillance. What is ascended here is not the body, but its meaning. This piece asks the viewer: What remains when we remove the identity and reveal only the ritual?

“The Shape of the Question” captures a moment where comprehension collapses under its own weight. Two minds nearly identical yet fractured in subtle, irreversible ways emerge from a desolate terrain that has forgotten everything except pressure. Suspended between them is a glyph-like form that asks, without words: Was this ever supposed to make sense?
The floating cubes hint at encoded memories, unresolved or obsolete. The textures of the skin cracked, earthbound, yet humanoid suggest not only aging, but a terrain of inner erosion. The mirrored, embryonic shape above offers no comfort, only reflection.
This piece was never meant to answer. It was meant to hold the weight of not knowing.

“The Moment Before the Moment” captures the exact second when awareness shatters illusion a suspended realization that time is not slipping away, it’s crushing us. The figure, emerging from the earth with horror-struck clarity, is both victim and prophet. The falling debris and ascending hourglass suggest that entropy and memory are interchangeable time doesn’t just pass, it breaks you into pieces.
This piece continues my exploration of psychological surrealism through the iconography of dirt, flesh, and sky. I’m particularly interested in the idea that trauma exists before the impact in anticipation, in knowing.
I created this work in the spirit of reclaiming dread. It is not meant to comfort. It is meant to witness.

In Final Grain, the finality of time takes form as an hourglass tipping at the very apex of tension. The subject’s face is frozen in a scream that isn’t about pain, but recognition a sudden confrontation with the last moment of agency. The moment before the inevitable.
This work confronts not just mortality but the awareness of mortality. The hourglass doesn’t measure time it controls fate. The earth-like texture of the figure and surrounding sludge connects body to soil, decay, and inevitability. Like many of my pieces, it functions as a visual scream: not to be understood, but to be felt.
It continues my Collapse Series, where surreal landscapes, flesh, and physics blur together in the psychological theatre of dread and divine absurdity.
