In a collective energy, the Association of the students of the ENSP (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie) wished, this year, for the annual exhibition of WIP, to imagine this instant of monstration of jobs of the students as a second shutter of the edition of 2016.
How to introduce, to represent jobs of all the students, at the same time peculiar but forming a whole, A school? That have him of expression Work In Progress once all jobs in the same space. Work In Progress because some people need to reveal their process to issue the message of their work, Work In Progress because we are still only students, in tremble of our career we are "ongoing".
For the third consecutive year, AEENSP combines with the stage designers Elizabeth Guyon and Mona Nahas (Digital Deluxe), and for the second time with the graphic designers Eva Lambert and Paul Cabanes. The pooling of our respective domains offers a wandering then to the public in the Church Holy-St Julian in which stage design and clash are played of transparency, of space and full, as though they entered a forest of pictures which sometimes immerse us.

I am pleased to announce that my self-portrait "In Spring The Ever Surprised Brows Return" has been curated into a group exhibition (curator: Jenny Keller) and will be exhibited at TVAA Downtown Gallery in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A. from July 1st thru July 29, 2016.
About the TVAA:
“The TVAA mission is to encourage artists and to promote art in Texas.
Enriching the Dallas art scene: The Texas Visual Arts Association inspires communication and cooperation between artists and the Dallas community by providing exhibitions in painting, sculpture, printmaking, pastels, watercolors, computer generated art, photography, and mixed media. TVAA offers educational workshops, seminars, and tours of major museum and private collections. TVAA served in promoting the development of the Dallas Arts District and The Contemporary, originally known as D’Art. It has a history of supporting worthwhile causes including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, the SPCA of Texas, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity.
The Texas Visual Arts Association sponsors several annual exhibitions: a Membership Exhibition, a National or Regional Open Exhibition, a Citation Exhibition for members only, and a Signature Member Exhibition. In addition, an Annual High School Exhibition is sponsored by TVAA, encouraging students from the Dallas area to compete for awards and scholarships. All these exhibits are judged by qualified art critics, museum directors and curators, gallery owners, and art educators.
Since 1947, the organization was known as the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Fine Arts Association. In 1986 it was reincorporated as the Texas Visual Arts Association (TVAA) and acquired a new state leadership with members from east, south and west Texas. The organization maintains approximately 300 members each year, all in diverse media, to produce the most interesting exhibitions for the community.."
The Opening Reception is taking place on Sunday, July 10, from 2-4PM.

Really nice Van Dongen exhibition going on at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal. Paintings aren't usually my thing...I'm more inclined towards photos, but Van Dongen is good.

I took this after attending the opening of the new Media Space at the science. The first exhibition was a Tony Ray-Jone Martin Parr show, found more about it on my blog here.

Alfred duPonte named the estate Nemours, after the French town that his great-great-grandfather represented in the French Estates General. While looking to the past and his ancestors for inspiration, Alfred also ensured that his new home was thoroughly modern by incorporating the latest technology and many of his own inventions.

The "HOLLYWOOD" exhibition at the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin shows various works by 12 different photographers. Always in the haze of HOLLYWOOD, the life of the stars - officially or privately and numerous secondary motifs.
Hollywood is a brand and a myth, for decades it has been an illusion machine that is second to none. Images of artists and ordinary people or lost souls who eventually ended up in this world of Hollywood to find happiness and then fell by the wayside. All around Hollywood works and photos of great photographers are shown here. I'm only showing a small selection here that impressed me the most.

The exhibition grounds in Newcastle upon Tyne are a public park, the art deco single storey building was once the Museum of Science and Engineering, which included the Turbinia, the first turbine powered steamship.
