Gulane Bootcamp Feb 27 2011

Bootcamp consists of running, press ups, squat jumps, bunny hops, kettle bells and the dreaded Murder Hill... A steep sand dune which really works the legs.

Whilst the excercise part is pretty tortuous and strenuous, the atmosphere is friendly and motivating, with kids and dogs welcome to join in, and finishing with a well earned BBQ

Multi purpost missiles at Fuji Fire Power Excercise in JGSDF Camp Fuji (2014 Aug 23)

A simple yet effective invention, the footpump, in this case a twin cylinder jobby for double the puff. By the time he'd finished, switching legs with increasing regularity I should think he'd have had sufficient excercise and said "bugger the gym".

I got mobbed by RWBs when I approached the tall grass, but shooting them was an excercise in frustration. With my 500mm lens + 1.4 TC, I was too close and couldn't focus fast enough as they flew at me. I didn't want to mess with the setup in the rain so I just made do. Here the male flew into the grass and is bobbing up and down on a single stalk of grass, squawking at me.
