Examples on continuous variables expected value As we all know that if range of Random Variable is uncountable or infinite, then this type of random variables are called as a continuous random variable like we have ‘X’ as a random variable, then range of this random variable ‘X’ is uncountable or infinite for all kind of physical measurements like size, age, flow, volume, area in continuous random variable. Now we will discuss how to calculate expected value of a continuous random variable.
Here’s an example from
A Butterfly;
That on a rough, hard rock
Happy can lie;
Friendless and all alone
On this unsweetened stone.
Now let my bed be hard,
No care take I;
I’ll make my joy like this
Small Butterfly;
Whose happy heart has power
To make a stone a flower.
(William H. Davies)

Here we see a woman working at Radio Shack. Radio Shack is an electronics retailer, and today's society associates electronics stores with males. In our society, it may be seen as though a woman may find her shopping haven in Victoria's Secret, but a man has his haven at a Radio Shack or a Best Buy. The presence of a woman worker here is and example of a business case for diversity because she is not part of the male norm that is found in Radio Shack. Instead, she is there to cater to the small female customer base. She can relate to women and their needs, and furthermore, will be able to attract women into coming back to Radio Shack, as well as work with the men.
