Who disbelieves evolution theory now? Some frogs evolved to live in trees and now I suspect this one is happy to live on steel galvanised water pipes. Even the colour is right. I came here on two different days to find this fine frog on the pipe so it was not a one-off decision to perch up there.

This is an idea i produced on my facebook page, i liked it enough to create an T-shirt from it. if your interested society6.com/TCWillmott check out the link :)

Malibu Historic District is significant in the area of Recreation/Entertainment for its contribution to the growth and development of surfing from 1945 to 1959. Malibu played an important role in the development of surfboard design and production, in addition to surfing style. The long rides offered by Malibu’s waves placed it at the center of the evolution of surfing style and technology, as well as fueling the cultural evolution of what surfers looked like, in and out of the water. Malibu surfers perfected a relaxed, aggressive, “cool” style of surfing and many of the era’s best came from, or regularly surfed at, Malibu. Their accomplishments helped bring surfing into a modern age, and earned Malibu an international reputation as the destination for high-performance surfing. Although new ideas of surfing were developing worldwide, Malibu served as a cultural, technological, and intellectual arena for its expert surfers and surfboard shapers. It was a focal point for surfboard design theory, deconstruction of surfing style, and development of a lifestyle that defined this era of surfing while serving as a template for the next. Malibu is associated with the broader history of surfing as the place that best represents the evolution of modern surfing in the minds of both surfers and the general public. The period of significance begins in 1945 when pioneering surfboard shaper Bob Simmons dedicated his energies to shaping surfboards and thereby initiated a design program that, with others in the years to follow, dramatically changed surfboards’ design, production, and performance. The period of significance ends in 1959 with release of the feature film Gidget, adapted from the 1957 eponymous novella, which projected to the general public the stories and exploits of a group of Malibu surfers as a model for a youth oriented, California-inspired, beach culture.

Man has been evolving upon earth since primeval times. His evolution on earth is similar to the relationship between the child and the adult. The latter teaches the small child. The same applies to the hierarchies in the cosmos. Man, chained to the earth as he is, can only gradually struggle through to the knowledge he needs for the practicalities of life on earth. Higher beings have to be his teachers. But what should occur so that this goal may be achieved? In the early phases of earth existence, beings not normally bound to the earth had to descend upon it from higher spheres. This really happened! Beings who needed only to live in the surroundings of the earth descended in order to impart to mankind what they already knew as older, more perfect members of the hierarchies. They incarnated into human bodies, not for the sake of their own development, much as the adult does not spend his time with the alphabet for his own progress but in order to teach the child. Looking back into Atlantean and Lemurian times, we find beings belonging to the surrounding spheres incarnating into human bodies and becoming the teachers of mankind. Beings belonging to the higher hierarchies, to Mercury and Venus, Sons of Venus and Mercury, descended and became the teachers of mankind in its youth. They wandered upon the earth as maya. Yes, such men existed. Let us suppose, in order to explain it more clearly, that a normally developed Lemurian human being had met such a man. Outwardly, he did not appear particularly different from others, but a spirit dwelt in him whose realm reached up to Mercury or Venus. His outer appearance was maya, an illusion. He looked like other men but he was, in fact, a Son of Mercury, of Venus.

At the dawn of the evolution of humanity there were such appearances. These Venus beings are Spirits of Personality. They wandered on the earth as men, outwardly restricted to the limiting form of human beings, yet powerfully guiding humanity. A mighty lordship reigned in Lemurian times as the Sons of Venus guided mankind. -Rudolf Steiner

The one spot in Evolution Valley we thought was really pretty. Why do people rave about it so much?

Tava afim de um verde, mas não queria um voltado pro turquesa. Daí, me lembrei deste lindo encalhado no gaveteiro.

No começo estranhei, mas depois fiquei com dó de tirar.

Evolution - Let there be Light. Dance into the Future en daarna Evolution - Let there be Light. Thx. Radio 538 voor de uitstekende organisatie. Hopelijk krijgt dit initiatief een vervolg volgend jaar.
