This is a non transforming leader class size AOE Grimlock. I used the regular toy as base, mainly as a skeleton to support the new figure, which is composed of tons of new parts from other transformers and model kits, as well as newly sculpted parts. Grimlock features light up eyes, which can be individually activated, articulated jaws, neck, arms and legs. The legs are all bulked up, but retain all the original articulation.

The head was totally redone, using dozens of parts put together as a puzzle, to form a more accurate looking "face". I added new teeth, a tongue and new horns.

His new arms are much bigger than the original ones, and are totally articulated. The rest of his torso was built from scratch, just like his hips and lower back. The tail was also redone and is now curved to one side, to give Grimlock a more natural look (the tail is fixed in this position and it's not articulated)

I was set a challenge: Design and build something inspired by the Lego Movie 2 - only using parts available in the Lego Movie 2 kits - but not actually building any of the Lego Movie 2 official models. This is what I came up with..

Back to the Future Lego set up by Doctor Awesome I felt I had to grab a shot of this. Just simple tripod on bulb using remote and simple 2 matches lit. I think it came out pretty good for a 5min set up.

- end of my 8-months' stint with TLG (The LEGO Group) in Singapore yesterday. I counted very fortunate to have experienced what it was like being with the bricks organization, part of the SG50 celebrations and the relocation to the new ways of working at its current premise. This is a 1 of the items, a tabletop name tag gifted exclusive during new hire orientation which I attended in September (I had it postponed once due to work (commitments). This picture was taken especially at the request for @mumslego sorry for the delay though! I sure look forth to other fun working opportunities with these bricks again.
