The Macro Monday theme for 12/27 is Redux 2021, wherein we were tasked to include at least two of the year’s themes in a macro picture. Actually this encompasses more than just two themes:

The theme for macro mondays for 11/15 is EDC, every day carry, things that you have with you whenever you leave your house. Am pretty sure that this will be my posting - there are 4 other possibilities. We can’t use our keys but I figured I could use the fobs on my keys since the whole ring is attached to my sash bag. The blue background is one of my masks.
With the onset of mask-wearing, my lipstick doesn’t get much use these days. I bought this one about a year ago and you can see how little wear there is. But it’s always in my handbag, just in case. This is the compact version, about 2” (5cm) tall.
I apply eye drops lots of times during the day if not it gets a bit blurry, I have to have it with me at all times.

Today is a red day at Color my world Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is "everyday carry" or EDC items .
In my case, I can’t go out without my glasses. It isn’t that much because of my poor vision but rather for aesthetic reasons (yes, I’m that superficial !!!). I feel very, very naked and awkward without my huge frames. They give me this super power and a new confidence ! And also they hide perfectly my designers bags under my eyes… So I will continue to carry my glasses everywhere !

The macro mondays theme this week is to do with your every day carries, the things you HAVE to have with you when you leave the house. For me it has to be my reading glasses because without them I am nearly a blind man.
I rediscovered one of my old Zeiss lenses to shoot this. It was sitting at the back of a tray full of lenses and hadn't seen the light of day for probably the best part of a year. I'd forgotten what a cracking lens it was, very short minimum focussing distance and this lovely bokeh.

This week's Macro Monday theme, Every Day Carry (EDC) had very limited options for me. According to the rules, no phones, wallets or keys were allowed and for me that only left money, my pocket comb and reading glasses to chose from. A pen was a possibility but I don't carry one anymore so I nixed that as a subject, money was out leaving my glasses and trusty pocket comb! Looking closely at both the choice was clear for me, today was the day for my pocket comb at last, and most likely it's only 15 minutes of fame, EVER! This really thrilled my comb as it knew it would finally get a good cleaning before it's debut! You see, my pocket comb is "Unbreakable" and theoretically it can spend many years in my back pocket. I don't know how long I've had this one but I'm sure it's been a long time and ages since I've cleaned it! Well, it cleaned up pretty good and I thought I would go with a small section focusing on the "Unbreakable" writing.
I shot this with my trusty Nikon 55mm with a PK-12 14rmm extension tube and since I wanted a bit of background bokeh I shot at f/4.0 against some sparkle paper. The section of comb measures app. 1.5 inches by 1.25 inches. To get the focus depth I wanted, I shot a 17 image focus stack.

Yeah, I don't want to wander to far away without this one. It is a needed thing on my everydays outside the house.

For Macro Mondays the theme is: EDC (Every Day Carry). I always have a little water bottle in my bag. This one is a favourite. Made of copper. Drinking water from it is supposed to have health benefits. It is very pretty too.

I am out most days with the camera and for me the three things I must carry are
1: Spare Camera Battery
2: Back Up SD card in case I fill the Flash Card
3: Lens Cleaning Cloth

There is barely any time where I leave the house without carrying around a pair of headphones.
I'm mostly listening to all kinds of podcasts while on the go and they help me being in my fantasy world, head up and a grin on my face.
……There was a time when the last thing a man would do before leaving home was to check his timepiece and put it in his waistcoat pocket! Certainly every Railway man!! Hence the term ‘Railway Grade’ on these beautiful timepieces. Though it is not so often worn by me these days it most certainly gets its affectionate wind up each morning when I get up. Macro Mondays: Everyday carry - This theme is all about those “other items” you never leave home without, your everyday carry.
My purse and car always have a bottle of hand sanitizer gel in it. The germaphobe in me always uses sanitizer after touching a bank machine, gas pump, shopping cart, menu...you name it...!!!
This bottle of hand sanitizer is 1.5" in width and 2.5" in it's complete height.

This week's Macro Mondays theme is EDC, for "everyday carry." It's something that you always make sure to have with you when leaving the house, beyond the usual wallet, keys and phone.
In my case, I always carry this sturdy metal comb. At just over 3 inches long, it fits easily in a back pocket. And besides being a comb, it also has a 2-inch ruler, a beveled corner on one end designed to work as a screwdriver, a bottle opener on the other end, and small holes with graduated sized edges that I think are intended to work as a wrench for different sized heads.
For me though, it's just a pocket comb with nice wide teeth that slip easily through my thinning gray hair; I may have used the ruler a time or two, but I don't recall ever using it for anything else. 😋

I have been on the borderline since last year and since then I always try to take care of what I eat and watch over my daily routine. I always carry this device with me just in case. This photo is one shot, handheld with two table lamps for lighting. Less than 3" including negative space. For Macro Mondays "EDC"

I never leave the house without my glasses.
These specifically have been with me for more than fifteen years.
The "Every Day Carry" is now my Canon ELPH 190 IS, it has a 10X zoom, easy to flip color to B/W, fits in the pocket, lays on the console, drop in the bag with the Nikon B700 and they follow me everywhere I go. I may not have a cellphone on me, nor money, nor ID but I will have a camera on me ready to go within 3 seconds.
Not only are the covers pretty on these pocket notebooks, but they are also waxed. They’ll get a nice aged look the longer they’re used and I’m looking forward to it!

My keychain safety items: 1) Cash canister with $20 note in case I'm ever standed in Arizona and need money for a beer and cheeseburger, 2) My trusty multi function Victorinox knife in case I need to cut down a tree to make a fire, 3) A mini LED flashlight in case I find myself in absolute darkness and need to see what’s biting my leg, and 4) A whistle in case I fall off a trail, roll down a steep ridge past a big log and get wedged under thick brushes next to a mosquito infested creek.......and need to get someone's attention. I always carry my drum tuning key in order to tune my different drum heads on my acoustic drum kit
The key itself measures 5 x 4 cm but inclusive the keychain it measures 5,8 x 4 cm

Before Corona these were Handkerchiefs and Hand Cream - and now also Hand Disinfection Gel and Mouth-Nose Protection Mask - like the most of us.
