My first skipper shot ever!
Not sure about specific ID but I’m going with what I found for Minnesota. It’s usually found in a prairie location but I found this in a wild garden on a golf course. Its habitat is being diminished and perhaps that’s why I found it where I did.

Still recovering from broken ankle and will continue to do so. I’m able to walk with a crutch and my boot/shoe somewhat.

We finished off our Christmas lunch after having had a well earned afternoon nap.
Cheese and crackers followed by a small amount of Christmas pudding and a mini mince pie, served with cream, of course.

Our Christmas lunch :
We had smoked salmon for starters, followed by roast lamb, potato wedges and sprouts with lashings of gravy and some redcurrant jelly. Neither of us bothered with mint sauce.

Sometimes we have to go for coffee at local store if we have none at home and then we add some snacks like smarties & Rice Krispies. I remember making these myself years ago. Now you can buy them.
Our New Year's Day lunch along with what's on offer for our evening snacks ... if we feel we're up to them!!
Top left : Boiled ham with potato wedges and green beans. (It was going to be with mashed potatoes and a parsley sauce. Until we discovered we'd run of parsley). :(
Top right : Two Stolen slices with cream if wanted.
Bottom Left : A slice of the Christmas log. (Now back in the freezer until later)!
Bottom right : An assortment of TV chocolates if required. 😂

Ethakka Appam / Pazham Pori / Plantain fritters is a Popular snack in Kerala and the perfect accompaniment to go with a cup of tea.
This Golden Dartlet (Ischnura aurora), also known as the aurora bluetailis was perched on the grass blade. After shooting it, realized that it is finishing its evening supper. Not sure, which unlucky fly became lucky enough to enter into this damselfly's stomach!
Cooking! We may love it or hate it, but we females have to live with it. We may don multiple hats with ease but this one task over which we ladies beat our brains out is – “what to cook”! Sharing this recipe that does not require cooking, does not need oil and yet it's super healthy and tasty - particularly for the growing kids.

When taking a walk around the office garden at dusk, before starting off the weekend, found this little Calotes baby was sitting near the root of a plant. Since ants were strolling on the root, it was picking up the ants with its tiny mouth. It was smartly not sitting on the path of the ants. Rather, it positioned itself to be parallel to the ant-path and started to pick the ants. The breathing can be seen by contraction and expansion of the chest area, right behind the forelegs.
Since this video was shot at dusk, close to sunset, there could be a few grains in the background. Please enjoy the video in HD mode for better clarity, but there is no audio in it.

Evening Snack: Still quite hungry after an early dinner... I racked my brain for the best snacky, filling goodness. Realizing there was still a rather fresh avocado in the fridge, I wanted to use it before it got past its prime. I eagerly cut into the yummy goodness, cubed it in the skin, and scooped it out into a bowl. Again, raiding the fridge for useful items, I opened the nearly empty sour cream (I scraped out the minimal remains) then my eyes landed on the Salsa con Queso... a rather generous drizzle of cheesey goo, a stir, and a bag of scoops made for a great chunky mix!
