Our project is essentailly a semester old now and we have seen great growth. During hte Fall 2006 semester we saw about 40 number of sections actively podcasting across all of the Penn State system. We are currently engaged in a formal evaluation of the first phase of the pilot and will be engaged in more evaluation this Spring.

We are expanding the pilot to 50 sections as well as a handful of what we call Engagement Projects. With these projects we provide faculty with a set of resources and ask them to work within a targeted set of expectations to integrate podcasting into their teaching. This approach allows ETS to work collaboratively with faculty and students to understand how we can better support and promote a service before we launch it.

For this project my aim was to create an anti-smoking campaign to help raise awareness and if realistically put into practice then hopefully reduce the amount of smoking candidates if not help others quit smoking entirely.

I conducted my research to create lists or in my case a spider diagram to help not only me but others who view it the social, health and lifestyle effects that smoking can have on a human.

I also looked into existing campaigns against smoking so I could see what forms of media I can put my campaign onto, this research was incredibly insightful as I gained an acknowledgment of what my campaign would be up against in the real world.

For my initial designs I wanted cigarettes to be key as for advertisement it needs to be either eyecatching a brief especially for drivers on billboards etc.

The cigarette I felt was key, it was simple and made an obvious statement that the poster would be about smoking in general, I like to include the colour red too as its a colour imagery for danger and so I felt this would help greatly with my campaign.

If I were to do this project again Id possibly take the campaign out of illustratr and photoshop and perhaps try it on physical products such as coasters and pin badges etc, to create a much more hard copy to develop onto so my campaign could go on much more than just posters and media.

Id also like to improve on my time management, although finishing the project to the deadline I felt I began to rush my design work and focused too much on small detail instead of the larger picture of actually creating a large campaign for anti-smoking yet still Im pleased with my campaign nontheless.

I feel my creative flare and love for social media would really help with my campaign if it were a real product as I know how to spread the message via social media platforms, I also feel like my eye for advertisements would benefit this project greatly as I know how to grab attention in the form of advertisements by using fonts and colours to suit the topic in order to deliver the correct message.

Overall Im incredibly pleased with my campaign and I feel I used a really good colour scheme and wording to deliver the message, I feel that if this campaign were to be used in reality it would be perfect as use for antismoking in the aid to help smokers to ease and hopefully stop their bad habit.

Much as expected, as soon as I switched from Zumbar's Ethiopian DP Guji to Klatch's Out of Africa blend, the latter which demands a higher temp, I cannot seem to get a brew temps high enough on the MyPressi to chase away the excessive brightness.

The evaluation desk is crowded. Anyone would think we bribe you with chocolate.

This is an evaluation of one of my final outcomes for the 'Transform' project. Inspired by the work of Picasso and Cezanne, I used a mix of different mediums such as acrylic paint to illustrate the scarf and placed imagery, tissue and newspaper for the background to achieve a posterized effect.
