My dad, uncle and myself went to the opening of a Feyenoord exposition on the Euromast, September 8th 2021, just before sunset. 20 beautiful photo's of important moments in the clubs history are on display on the observation deck, 100m above ground.

Euromast is a 185m tall observation tower built for the 1960 Floriade and is still one of the big attractions of the city. It's a great place to unwind and shoot some picalillies. It is usually quiet, they have plenty of benches to sit, it is photographer friendly (you can bring your tripod) and there is lots of space. The place has good energy. I can remember a date, it was our second date, with a phenomenal girl and we had some drinks while enjoying the view over the city. Magical evening. Great memories of this place. Check it out if you are visiting Rotterdam!

Night gathers, and now my watch begins...

Another blast from the past … When business travelling was a thing and one had the opportunity to come and visit Rotterdam, do a bit of sightseeing out and about and eventually ending up there: The Euromast! 😍 😍 😍

The Steamship Rotterdam is the largest ocean liner ever built in the Netherlands. As a former flagship of the Holland-America Line and cruise ship, the ss Rotterdam has sailed many oceans since 1959. The ship is now permanently moored in the Maashaven in Rotterdam, near Katendrecht.

The wait paid off just a pity a little fog.

No photoshop, just the beatiful colors of the sun down.

Had such a great evening shooting this view! Hope you aren't tired yet of Rotterdam views, because there is more to come. ;-)

The Park harbor (Dutch: Parkhaven) is a pre-war port between the Lloyd Quarter and the Park in Rotterdam. The Parkhaven was dug between 1890 and 1893 and between 1903 and 1908 designed for the shipment of pieceware.

By completing the Park Locks in 1933, the Parkhaven became a connecting route between the river Nieuwe Maas and the Delfshavense Schie. The tower is the Euromast.

In the water of the Parkhaven harbor you can see the floating New Ocean Paradise Restaurant Hotel boat in Chinese style.

Difficult evening for long exposure shots, because of the wind the tower I was standing on was a bit wobbly :-)

14/09/2016; Note to myself: don't go shooting views when we have had 30+ degrees Celsius temperatures for about a week already. But despite the smog around me as I was on the viewing platform of the Euromast in Rotterdam, I still managed to shoot this. But I will probably go back someday when the air is a bit cleaner.
