The same module used for all those Easy Modular Stars is again modified to accommodate 11 modules. Only one fold for the angle is different and I am surprised that the estimation of the angle for assembling 11 modules is quite accurate. This variation #3 features a "Circular Saw" in the centre of the star. The back of the assembled model is different from the front but common for all the variations. Eleven 7.5cm square Kami are used for folding the modules.

Some marriage! Screw-mount M42 Cosina Cosinon 135mm f/2.8 telephoto prime lens paired to the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder via an uncoupled Fotodiox adapter. The lens, a 1970's manual focus design, can't be focused other than by a best-guess estimation of the subject distance and using the depth-of-field scale, along with a reasonable amount of stopping-down if the subject is less than 30m away. But that's only the beginning of the fun of it. The rangefinder viewfinder is not designed to show frame lines for any focal length longer than 90mm (officially 85mm) so the accessory, shoe-mounted, vintage Zeiss Ikon "torpedo" viewfinder designed for the 85mm and 135mm focal lengths and equipped with a crude parallax correction comes in handy. It even has a diopter correction. The 135mm frame lines are within the full view of the 85mm frame so still relatively small. This modern-day rangefinder is made for Zeiss by the Cosina factory in Japan so it's only fitting to have them mated together.

This woolworths owned site has remained abandoned and derelict for about 20 years (I can't find the date anywhere, but this is my estimation.) Finally, it's been agreed that the site will be redeveleoped into a Masters home improvement centre and Woolworths. I thought I'd take some record shots before it all gets demolished.
A cardinal friend we see daily in our backyard. Can anyone confirm if this one's a male or female? I'm leaning towards female, but that's pure estimation on my part. I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer. Yay! Autumn soon! :)

according to the Capitol police this was the largest crowd assembled on the Capitol grounds ever witnessed. Over 8,00 in estimation. The event was Franklin Graham's "Decision America Tour 2016" My wife, myself, and many of our friends were so blessed to have been there in Lansing for this occasion of motivation and prayer.

My vision of a new car with a look back to some 30's design cues. Bored from all the new look-alikes of luxurious coupes, I would list this car as a competitor to cars from Morgan and Bristol among other cars. The model is made out of cardboard paper, in 1:18 scale, with real life dimensions estimation of 480 x 195 x 135 cm and a wheelbase of 280 cm.
After reaching Pearson's Falls, I looked up and could see through the canopy into the sky, which happened to have some blue skies finally. Such a pretty view in my estimation!
The angle for this 9-Piece version is an estimation made between the creases for the 8-Piece module and the 10-Piece module [previous model]. As more modules are added, the centre hole of the model becomes larger and when expanded, becomes more like a ring than a pinwheel. The photos show the model in the closed and expanded form. All the modules are folded from 7.5cm squares of Korean Duo-coloured papers. Many thanks to Andrey Hechuev's 8-Piece New-Found Hope Star which has inspired me to come up with this Expandable Pinwheel Series. I am still working on the rest of the variations and will post them accordingly.

Sensors were recalibrated and the wheel wobble was very painfully removed by de-centering the wheel sprocket. Go figure. 1.58 AH expended on this drive.
This telemetry was transmitted wirelessly from my E300 Razor Scooter and recorded by a laptop in my backpack. The end goal? To create a tiny little velcro box to attach to the handlebars to provide a 'gas gauge'. Because when you have to kick-scoot back home, its no fun!
All I need are more MSP430 chips which are in the mail.

Everyday I do 2.66 miles and it takes 14 minutes.

Made this one up as we went along. The ingredients are all estimations.
1 tbs olive oil
1 lb snow peas, washed and trimmed
4 oz mushrooms, washed and sliced
Salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes to taste
1/4 tsp seasame oil
1/2 jalapeno (optional)
Heat the oil over medium heat. Add the peas and stir. After a few minutes add the mushrooms, salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for a few more minutes. Add the sesame oil and jalapeno (if using) and cook for about another minute. Serve hot.
I love the peas.
Between the years 2012 and 2016, the average of the estimations of the child mortality rates in La Guajira (Colombia) reached a point of 23.4 out of 1,000. Most of these children belonged to the largest and one of the most vulnerable ethnic community in Colombia, the Wayuu. El Niño phenomenon in 2012 triggered a drought that was extended until 2016. The water scarcity produced a loss in crops increasing food insecurity and then child mortality. I hope to bring the attention of the world to this region in Colombia to reduce the mortality among Wayuu children and to save this community from its extinction.

This artistic provocation seeks to estimate the orders of magnitude of critical ecosystem services that are fundamental to all planetary life processes.
It is common to describe our relationships with society, the world, and the biosphere with metaphors from economics, which has specific understandings of value. Today’s prevailing economic conventions are unable to recognise the inherent value of the ecosystems on which all life depends. In cultures overdetermined by concepts from economics, we are left without adequate discursive instruments to address the importance of ecosystem contributions to life on Earth socially or politically.
This experiment consists of 1 square meter of wheat, cultivated in a closed environment. Critical inputs such as water, light, heat, and nutrients are measured, monitored and displayed for the public. This procedure makes the immense scale of ecosystem contributions palpable and provides a speculative reference for a reckoning of the undervalued and over-exploited “work of the biosphere.”

KIRK BROWN-Among the many highly respected and influential citizens of Winfield, there are none who stand higher in the estimation of the people generally, than our worthy townsman, whose name heads this article. He is one of the hustling, rustling energetic business men of Winfield. He was born in Lancaster county, Penn., July 22, 1845, at which place he received his education. He was married to Miss Emaline Haines, June 8, 1869. They have six children, one girl and five boys. Mr. Brown enlisted, November 29, 1861, in Company G, 90th Penn. Vol. Inft., as a private and was discharged , November 26, 1864, having been wounded in the shoulder and leg at the battle of Bull Run. He organized Capt. Snow Post No. 461 G. A. R. Dept. Penn., and was its first commander. In 1884 he immigrated to Missouri, locating at Waco, joining Stanton Post No. 16, of Carthage, Mo. He remained in this locality five years as a farmer. In 1890 he came to Kansas and located on a farm fifteen miles east of Winfield, where he remained for seven years, when he received his appointment of superintendent of the County Poor Farm. Turning his farm over to his son, he entered upon his new duties, which position he held for three years. He then moved to Winfield where he accepted the position as salesman for the McCormick Machine Co., where he remained until a few months ago. He expects, however to make a contract with his old company about Feb. 1. When Mr. Brown came to Winfield, the first thing he did was to join Siverd Post No. 85 G. A. R. He has proven himself to be an active, hard-working member. He was one of the delegates to the National G. A. R. Encampment, held in Philadelphia, Penn., in 1899. Mr. Brown is one of those genial, obliging gentlemen striving to do the right thing by all his fellowmen, ever ready to accommodate and assist when in his power. We believe that it is no longer a secret that his friends are urging him and working zealously for his nomination as candidate for sheriff at the coming Republican County Nominating Convention. A nomination on the Republican ticket, is considered equivalent to election in this county. From what we know of the gentleman, we believe no better selection could be made than that of Kirk Brown.
