Estée Lauder (1 juli 1906 — 24 april 2004) was oprichter en gedurende vele jaren directeur van Estée Lauder Inc., een vernieuwend Amerikaans cosmeticabedrijf. Lauder richtte het cosmeticabedrijf in 1946 op met een recept voor gezichtscrème van haar oom, een chemicus.
Lauder werd geboren te New York als Josephine Esther Mentzer. Ze was een telg uit een joods-Amerikaanse familie. In 1930 huwde ze Joseph Lauter. Ze scheidde van hem in 1939, kreeg spijt en hertrouwde in 1942 waarna zij samenbleven tot zijn dood in 1982. De familie Mentzer veranderde hun familienaam aan het eind van de jaren dertig in "Lauder".
Lauder was onder meer de bedenker van de thuisverkoop van cosmetica, het cadeau bij aankoop - waarbij men een royaal geschenk 'krijgt' als men veel geld aan cosmetica spendeert - en de snelle opmaak voor de Amerikaanse carrièrevrouw. Lauder stond ook bekend om het gulle aantal monsters dat haar bedrijf weggaf.
Ze was de bedenker van de term "fragrance free" (ongeparfumeerd) en lanceerde in 1968 het cosmeticamerk Clinique, het eerste ongeparfumeerde cosmeticamerk waar de vervaardiging van producten door dermatologen begeleid werd en de cosmetica op allergische reacties werd getest.
Ze overleed op 97-jarige leeftijd te New York aan een hartaanval. Bij haar dood was het door haar opgerichte bedrijf ongeveer 10 miljard dollar waard.

This was for Day 11 from the 30 Day Blog Challenge I'm doing for my blog. I think I have too much, and this doesn't even compare to other people's collection!
If curious, this is NOT what I bring with me everyday. That would be too much! When traveling I just bring a pressed powder, lip stuff and lotion. :)
I like preparing for a dress up day by laying out all the feminine necessities because this way you don't forget anything! Perhaps you can notice some of your favorite brand items !
Oh sure I like shopping for makeup at the Sephora store. But my favorite in the MAC store as I just love their products. But you have to be open minded and I picked up some bronzer and lip glosses. For some reason I can't leave the store without getting something!
Each year dozens of world-famous landmarks are illuminated in pink light. This is to draw attention to the importance of mammography screening for early diagnosis of breast cancer, as well as the research for finding ways to cure and prevent breast cancer. Here are some pictures of past landmarks:
I went shopping this earlier this week for ME !! Macy's has a full assortment of holiday perfume gift sets as usual. This is the time of year I buy my favorite long standing scent, Beautiful by Estee Lauder as it's a good deal. The usual large vanity top 2.5oz spray bottle price is $95. The holiday gift set has the perfume bottle, a travel size small bottle for your purse, a tube of bath & shower gel, a tube of body lotion, and a dusting powder & puff all for $69 !
The dusting powder is a nice item, I never see sold separately, that I use after a bath and before I slip into my bra and panty. It lasts so long that I usually put the old one from the prior year in the back corner of my lingerie draw and get the sweet scent wafting out every time I open it!
I did have a 10% off coupon but the Estee Lauder sales rep lady showed me the fine print that excludes fragrances from the coupon, oh well. It was really nice strolling the cosmetics counters looking around in my pink dress and heels. I don't know why I feel extra feminine during the holiday time but I try to really enjoy the feeling! Happy shopping to all of you !

For the first time, Malaysia’s most iconic building, Petronas Twin Towers were being illuminated in the signature pink in response to Estee Lauder Companies’ annual global breast cancer awareness campaign. Organised by Estee Lauder Malaysia, it is one of many events aimed at educating women about the importance of early detection and treatment, and raise funds for cancer research. The towers were illuminated in pink only on 18 and 19 October, 2013.

(Dei uma sumida daqui por conta do trabalho + desânimo com os Correios, mas estou voltando - e tenho várias fotinhas guardadas da época que não atualizei aqui hehehe)
O Metallic Sage foi lançado pela marca Estée Lauder para o Inverno de 2011 (em uma edição limitada, chamada Modern Mercury), mas só fui tomar conhecimento de sua existência no início deste ano e não preciso nem dizer que foi amor à primeira vista, não é mesmo? *_*
Ele é um verde escuro com uma pitada a mais de amarelo e bastante cinza que dão um tom único e a adição dos brilhos dourados e acobreados só consegue deixá-lo ainda mais belo do que já é! Muitíssimo bem pigmentado, fácil de aplicar e limpar, o pincel é achatado como nos OPI e a haste é um pouco curta, mas nada que chegue a atrapalhar, os brilhos continuam evidentes quando passamos o esmalte nas unhas. Duas camadas são suficientes e o brilho eu não preciso nem comentar, pois a foto fala por si só.
Como se não bastasse todas as qualidades do esmalte, ainda vem em uma caixinha super delicada e a embalagem é muito diferente e bonita....
A primeira coisa que eu ouvi da Tatah quando mostrei uma foto dele, antes mesmo de comprar, foi: É a sua cara!

Every year for Christmas, my sister and I get Estee Lauder's annual makeup kits, which happen to come with several tubes of lipstick. But I don't very often wear lipstick, so they just continue gathering.
