" Misery Love Misery" by Artist *T.M.NOEL of ANGRYHOUZE. First off, as a Shorty from Brooklyn, I would often wonder why there were no streets named 'Sorrow Circle', or 'Desperate Avenue', or 'Hungry St.', or 'Thirsty Blvd.', or even 'Hopeless Way', (because as a Shorty); I would only DRAW what I saw. What I saw was all that I KNEW. So in essence, whatever emotion was evoked ended up right onto the Canvas. Except, it was NOT actually Canvas then. It was the backs of the paper bags that you get from the grocery store. Those became my Canvas. I cut the backs off because the backs had no creases on them to interrupt the creative process. I would take my school books and slip them under my mattress. I then would place the paper bag that I cut nice and straight on the top of the books and lower the mattress onto the Canvas (paper bag)... I would sleep on the top of my fresh new Canvas and dream of what I might create on it. Soon as morning came, my Canvas was then straight enough to create on. All the day through school I could not THINK of anything but what was waiting for me at the crib (to get my creative ideas down on)... A lot of those days as I think back were filled Police Sirens, Fire Trucks & with Hopelessness and Despair, but NOT anymore. Far Rock & Flatbush were the boro breeding grounds for my earlier joints that would soon become award winning illustrations filled with just as much PAIN as my Fine-Art Creations. If YOUR thirst is for 'The Art of War', please Follow my TWITTER (the book drops soon)... (peace)... *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE, inc.

(loading)..., completed. Now, I would like for you to observe Malcolm X's expression directly behind 94 yrs (young) Dr. J. Eugene Grigsby. This was PHENOMENAL and quite picture perfect!!!! I don't know how this happened but this obviously was NOT Photoshopped. Now, I don't know much about paranormal activity, but this really got me SHOOK (and it still does)... I mean, once I deliver you the story about Malcolm X and all the things that his likeness caused, during my "Everyone Could Use A HERO" fine-art exhibit; you may begin to realize the actual seriousness of these two photos. Day 1 of the exhibit: Malcolm X is hung right next to Dr. MLK, Jr. Malcolm X decides to fall off the wall (but not completely); he is hanging by a wire. Now, this may not seem all that spectacular, but the D-rings can hold up to 100 pounds quite easily and Malcolm X inside the frame alone did not even weigh 40 lbs.! Plus, the D-ring was bent horribly. It was twisted and contorted as if a pair of wire-cutters bent it; yet, there were NO cut marks on the D-ring metal that would indicate this... (strange)...; Next up (incident 2); Malcolm's quote (and ONLY his quote alone) falls from the secured wall and shatters in pieces on the gallery's marbled floor. I get a call from Ms. Iris (the Great); the gallery curator, telling me that Malcolm is acting-up again. So, I had to go to my favorite frame shop and purchase another small frame to house Malcolm X's quote in... and NOW this: as soon as Dr. Grigsby completes his thoughtful sentence and stamps his approval with a simple stroke of his chinny-chin-chin; the ancestor Malcolm gives the slightest smile (of his own approval)... needless to say my Malcolm X fine-art piece will remain in my collection. Maybe Mr. X will aid me in hitting the Lottery... (thank-you for listening)... (peace) *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE, inc.

Captured at Essence Fest in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA — settings: Camera: ILCE-9, focal length: 24mm, SS: 1/160, Aperture: f/2.8, ISO: 1600, Flash: off — by Kevin Lowery

Working the canvas on the 'Hair of Wool' piece for my 'Everyone Could Use A HERO' fine-art exhibit at CentralGallery. The BobMarley piece entitled: 'Zion Lion' looks on. I like to paint and sketch my historical pieces in such a way that the subject chosen is studying YOU just as much as YOU are studying the subject. So in essence, the viewing is very up close and personal. The eyes follow you no matter what direction you view them. This technique makes the feeling more real as well as more (personal)... they are speaking directly to YOU. The cuts, scratches, scrapes, and abrasions that I inflict with blades, knives, sandpaper and rocks prepare my canvases for the pain that I show in each and every face. Much like the pain and suffering that 'the ancestors' endured from the whips, fists, spit, rapes, insults, indifference, humiliation, hoses, hangings, bullets, dogs, etc. displayed for EVERYONE to see on each individual's face. This is so deep that most of those who have experienced the exhibit refer to the encounter as nothing short of 'POWERFUL.' I would NOT have it any other way... My image of david mcintosh is in the february 2010 issue of essence magazine!

As I worked on my Gallery piece entitled: "Hair of Wool", now let me enlighten those who are easily offended by (my personal opinion) of what Christ actually looked like given his geographical location as well as the 40 Days he spent in the wilderness. You cannot survive any wilderness without a comb, toothbrush, razor, soap, and washcloth without coming out of there a little funky and with your hair Dreaded. It just ain't gonna happen like that. So, whether or not YOU choose to believe (my own) rendition of the Lord and Savior the FACT remains that he did NOT come out of the wilderness after 40 Days with straight, flawless hair and pearly whites.

This piece now hangs at CentralGallery; which is far better than it (hanging) from a cross... (peace)... *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE

As my Fine-Art Exhibit: 'EVERYONE COULD USE A HERO nears it's final weeks, I'd like to first and foremost apologize to my Flickr FAM for not being able to be online these days as much as I would like to be. My CREATIVE work pulls me from here to there, but I always make it a point to post new material as I am able to. I want to take the time out to extend a most sincere 'Thank-You' to those who made my "EVERYONE COULD USE A HERO" fine-art exhibit at Central Gallery a huge success. (Peace)... *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE

Former Essence Magazine Editor Susan Taylor & Lutalo Aryee

Recently world renowned Artist Dr. J Eugene Grigsby requested to personally view my fine-art exhibit entitled "Everyone Could Use A HERO showing at the Central Art Gallery inside the Phoenix Public Library, but there was only one small problem. Dr. Grigsby is confined to a wheelchair and could not get over to view my exhibit. So what did I do...??? I brought the exhibit over to Dr. Grigsby's art studio home so that he could view the exhibit. He loved it!!! Now let me explain the history about this incredible creative and talented individual. He is a World War II Veteran who never received his medals (my staff and I are currently heading a campaign to Washington to get this man what he so rightly deserves)...; he also stood alongside the original Tuskegee Airmen (as he was friends with a good many of them), he is 94yrs young and will hold a conversation that would rival any orator walking today!!! He is THAT sharp!!! I could mention so much more about this perfect example of what a human being should be and act like; but I'm afraid that I would be biased. Truthful, but yet biased. Peace, dear Dr. Grigsby. My words alone can not express... *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE, inc.

I had the opportunity to see in person the dynamic speaker, Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu. I first heard him when he regularly appeared on BET many many years ago. If you have not had an opportunity to attend one of Dr. Kunjufu's inspiring lectures, here are some of the dynamic topics that he will address: Black male/female relationship solutions, Critical concerns in the area of raising our children, particularly the black male child., An economic solution for the black community, and spiritual motivation. Dr Kunjufu has dedicated himself to the uplifting of our community and has personally written over 20 books dealing with these critical issues. { www.africanamericanimages.com/AAI/Jawanza Kumjufu.htm }

Recently, I was a keynote speaker for these students (for LEGAL purposes I cannot reveal further), but that does not matter because these students are very attentive and Amazin'!!! They told me that I ripped it (well, they said something that rhymed with rip); but anyway, if you SHOW genuine interest and share with them your time and talents; they never ever forget that. This is myself informing the students about the process of a commissioned piece I did of SnoopDogg/ SnoopLion. They LOVED it. (peace)..., *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE, inc.
