Regard sur l'Empire State Building du Top of The Rock

This will be the last of the super cliches, I had to get it out of my system. But I like the image all the same. For the technical: Infrared converted camera then silver efex pro2, high structure setting.

The Empire State Building is communicating with higher intelligence.

The redeeming factor for rainy days.

Well, for any day really.

This is the companion to the other interior of the ESB. Although absolutely beautiful it wasn't quite as impressive as I remembered. I had visited New York once before during a blizzard and New York and the ESB were both closed. The foyer was all I could see.

Many a long half hour I have waited there to catch the train to Paris. Taken with my parents Pentax Spotmatic, a week or so before my first photography class.

Long Exposure from the ESB observatory. Thank God for my Gorillapod!

"Hello, what have we here? "

Even though I'm not making the entire cast from ESB, I thought making other characters from the classics would be a fun project. After the Bespin DLC came out for Battlefront, I decided that I should make the smooth-talking swindler, Lando Calrissian!

The only official LEGO Lando in ESB costume came in the UCS Cloud City, the figure alone being $90+. So this Lando figure is actually my first version of Lando in the ESB outfit.

The figure is pretty basic for the most part. The large belt was painted onto his torso and hips, the shoes were painted, the collar was added, and the TLG face was modified to make it look more like Lando. The capes are modified capes from CapeMadness. Two layers of capes, and one small strip for the collar.

The gun is the X-8 Nightsniper that Lando uses in Battlefront. It was made out of a BrickArms spy pistol, the light from an ABR, and various other plastic bits.

So let me know what you guys think! :)

Also, what other classics should I make? Boba from ROTJ is next up on my to-do list along with Vader (~Rogue One), but let me know what others I should make!

Fire Escape at the Empress State Building in West Brompton, London. Dedicated to my wife who finally escaped her job in this building after a couple of unhappy years...good riddance to it and to a brighter future!

Every time I turn around, the ESB is looking at me.

I might have to get a restraining order.

Freakin' skyscrapers. Think they're all that and shit.

Was going through some old shots and came across this one from July 2010 from Top of The Rock in New York City. This was an intense week for me. The weather was perfect, the summer sky took its sweet time setting, and before they closed the top due to lightning I came away with this.
