"Hello, We're Errors! From, erm, Scotland! Hence, we're at Celtic Connections." Errors seemed as mystified as the rest of us as how this night happened. Not that any of us complained, at the end of a corking live set.
'Hola' exhibition of Latin American street art and graffiti - Copeland Gallery, London (25 May - 4 June 2023).
I have a professional interest in survey design techniques. I found this one, which got posted through my door by my local Tory MP, fascinating in many ways. Hence the notes...

This is my third lino print and my biggest yet. I'm not nuts about how it printed. Lots of people like the errors and imperfections...but they upset me. I think I can do better now though so I may reprint this.
I drew the cat in a sketch book and transfered the sketch onto the lino block and started carving away. It took a nite or two not working really long on it. I only used two gouges out of the Speedball gouge set to cut this. I used the small V gouge and the wide U gouge. In the corners (like his cheeks)...I used an Xacto knife. The block was Dick Blick golden linoleum and the ink was Speedball water based. The whiskers were drawn afterwards with a Lamy fountain pen (medium nib).
For a little insight into the illustration...I had been looking at various folk art pieces on the Antique Roadshow and kinda wanted to do my own piece. A common theme that I saw and wanted to emulate was animals acting like people. I like that. I was thinking of My Neighbor Totoro when I drew the eyes on this piece. I think the body was subconsciously copied from an amalgamation of various cats in Top Cats gang. You decide. Also I kinda wish I would've made the instrument a Fender Stratocaster instead of a banjo...Oh well. Speaking of the instrument...the head of the banjo is more of a guitar type head rather than an banjo head...I regret that as well. I was very anxious to carve this and didn't question these things earlier.
Also let me say that this piece was inspired by one of my favorite photographers...Thomas Shahan. Aside from being an amazing photographer...he's also a tremendous artist. I'm astounded by his wood block prints and felt like trying it myself. Even though our styles aren't exactly the same...he was HIGHLY influential in the completion of this piece. Thanks Thomas.

Royal Error - NATOs krigsmaskineri leker krig i Norrland sommaren 2009

(Yes, there is an error somewhere, but as this is a Z&S Transport vehicle, do not be surprised.)
My credit card was stolen today, for the second time in a year; this
the episode last winter. One of the lessons learned from that
experience is the value of building error-reduction systems into your
life - what your mom might call good habits. That's right, I'm
talking about your mother.
At approximately 5:00 this evening I arrived at the McGill Gymnasium,
swiped my ID through the scanner and entered. I put all my stuff in
my locker, exercised, showered, returned to my locker at about 7:30.
I flipped open my wallet to check to see if I had any subway tickets,
and zap I knew my credit card was gone, and I knew for
certain that it was stolen from my locker.
I keep exactly four cards in the front pockets in my wallet, so that
the inside of my wallet is perfectly consistent and any alteration of
its appearance triggers an alarm, like the reminder you posted on the
refrigerator to water your plants that after two weeks becomes an
unnoticeable part of your refigerator until someone moves it, making
you wonder why your refrigerator looks different. Several times I
have walked away from a cashier and was about to stuff my wallet in
my pocket when I noticed a card was missing - sitting on the counter.
I opened my wallet to get out my McGill ID, so I know that the card
was in my wallet when I entered the gym. My lock, issued by the gym,
showed no signs of tampering - that's right: an inside job. The
thieves left everything else in my wallet, including the $55 dollars
cash. I thought this was because these were socially conscious, robin
hooding thieves who steal from big companies and not individuals
(knowing I wouldn't have to pay for the fraudulent charges on my
card). Roy thinks they took only the card to prolong the period where
I wouldn't notice it was gone; these motherfuckers didn't know they
were dealing with an implementer of error-reducing good habits.
They call me The Implementer.

Statistics about medical error. It is now the 3rd leading cause of death and accounts for over 251,000 deaths per year, 700 per day.
If you spot some square dots on the pictures that's not a negative error. My sensor needs to be cleaned, but sadly I can't find any sensor cleaning kits right now where I live... Images came pretty nice n this roll, God knows how much I love to use my barnack leica... Good thing about working with a trusty gear is that you always know what will come in the end, not waiting any ''suprise'' results... You know what you will get, and you take your picture. Anything other than this gives me extreme anxiety, that's why I don't like to use other cameras...
I've had Windows XP for just over a month (on a new PC) and this is the first time that it's crashed. I was running a remote Virus Scan from TrendMicro.com at the time and had my i-Pod plugged in. I was scared I'll admit it! PC seems okay now though but my perception of XP as being indestructible is now somewhat shaken. Hope it doesn't happen again. Anyone with any tips gratefully received.
