The Jalil Khayat Mosque (جامع جليل الخياط) is a Sunni mosque in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan; the largest in the city. The mosque was begun by Jalil Khayat. He died two years before the mosque was completed; it was completed in 2007 by his sons in memory of their father.
The mosque's style resembles the Mosque of Muhammad Ali in Cairo and the Blue mosque in Istanbul.

He counts the hours under the city clock until sunset
With his appearance and white beard, he has become a favorite among the traders of the passage.
Let me introduce you to this picture.
Erbil is the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. It is one of the oldest continuously lived in cities at 6000 years. In the center of the photo is the Citadel which is the original beginning of Erbil. Over the centuries new buildings were built on top of the old to where it is now 100 feet above the rest of the city.

Kani Maran is located west of Soran at a distance of 96 kilometers from Erbil. Kani Maran is a name derived from its scarce waters barely enough to quench the thirst of snakes. Renovation works have changed the whole story. Even though water flows richely nowadays, the resort has kept its name.
