Alle drei EQ Smart-Modelle laufen bis auf Weiteres im französischen Hambach vom Band, doch alle künftigen Smart werden im chinesischen Ningbo gebaut, einer Metropole etwa 150 Kilometer von Shanghai entfernt. Dort hat Mercedes mit Geely das 50:50-Unternehmen Smart Automobile Co. Ltd gegründet, das ausschließlich Elektroautos baut. Erstes Fahrzeug dieser neuen Partnerschaft wird 2022 ein zusätzliches Smart-Modell sein.
Until further notice, all three EQ Smart models will roll off the assembly line in Hambach, France, but all future Smarts will be built in Ningbo, China, a metropolis around 150 kilometers from Shanghai. There, Mercedes and Geely founded the 50:50 company Smart Automobile Co. Ltd, which exclusively builds electric cars. The first vehicle in this new partnership will be an additional Smart model in 2022.

Chery Automobile was the largest Chinese carmaker for quite some time, thanks to successes of the QQ, Tiggo, A5 and the old Windcloud/Flagcloud (Fulwin/Cowin) models. Chery is a state-owned company founded in 1997. It began automobile production in 1999 after acquiring toolings and a license to produce the first generation Seat Toledo. Interesting is that Chery was only granted a production license for passenger cars in 2003, which means Chery cars couldn't be legally sold until 2001. Until then Chery was officially only producing automotive components, albeit in a fully assembled form. In 2001 Chery solved the problem by piggybacking on a SAIC Motor license, China's largest state-owned car manufacturer. Chery surely knowns the way around the law... After rising tensions between Chery Automobile and General Motors (GM) and Volkswagen, two of SAIC's joint venture partners, the 20% ownership SAIC once held in Chery was sold. GM was not amused and filed lawsuits after Chery copied their Spark (Matiz) and Epica (Evanda/Magnus) models. Volkswagen also planned a lawsuit against Chery, because they apparently secretly purchased the Seat Toledo blueprints, which is quite interesting considering Seat is a subsidiary of Volkswagen...
The infamous Chery QQ is a copy of the Daewoo Matiz or Chevrolet Spark as it was known in China. It could be seen as one of the icons of the relatively young Chinese automotive history. It once was the Chinese car with the highest cumulative sales. Until today over 1.4 million examples should have been sold in China only, including the in-house designed QQ6 five-door liftback based on the same platform and the second generation model, which was launched in 2013. The first generation model was discontinued a couple of years ago, since the demand for small city cars shrunk significantly in the last years. The QQ was renamed QQ3 in 2006 to distinguish it from the QQ6, launched in the same year.
The second generation Chery QQ was launched in 2013. It is sold in Italy as DR Zero. Unlike its predecessor it has a distinct design. The electric QQ debuted in 2014 as Chery eQ. In Yangshuo there were quite some Chery eQs from car sharing platform GoFun Chuxing. The eQ has a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery, maximum power of 42 kW/57 hp and torque of 150 Nm and 200 km range.
The Mercedes AMG F1 W10 EQ Power+ was a Formula One racing car designed and developed by Mercedes-Benz under the direction of James Allison, John Owen, Mike Elliott, Loïc Serra, Ashley Way, Emiliano Giangiulio, Jarrod Murphy, Eric Blandin and Aldo Costa, to compete during the 2019 Formula One World Championship. The car was driven by Lewis Hamilton, and Valtteri Bottas, both of whom remained with the team for a seventh and a third season, respectively. The F1 W10 EQ Power+ took 15 wins (eleven for Hamilton and four for Bottas), ten pole positions (five for Hamilton and five for Bottas), nine fastest laps (six for Hamilton and three for Bottas), seven front-row lockouts and nine 1–2 finishes. The car also took Mercedes to a record equalling sixth consecutive Constructors' Championship a feat only previously achieved by Scuderia Ferrari between 1999 and 2004, and Hamilton to his sixth Drivers' Championship.

The first thought that pops in the human minds regarding the rise in AI is the betterment of human life. However, the rise of artificial intelligence has given also the rise to the need for EQ. And if both go hand in hand, it could lead to great successes. It is quite exciting to consider how Artificial Intelligence could be utilized to asses and enhance EQ. The future generation models of EQ with the help of artificial intelligence could prove to be highly beneficial.

The mercury transit 9th May 2016. I was surprised how clear Mercury was, a wonderful sight :-)
To take these images I used my compact digital camera, 25mm eyepiece (81x magnification), # 12 Yellow filter with my Celestron Advanced C8 S-GT XLT telescope with a CG5 EQ GOTO Mount.

Hallo,
in der Mittagspause, bei tollstem Wetter, lief ich an diesem Mann vorbei und dachte: Halt, das passt doch. Während ich ein paar Schritte rückwärts ging und ihn dabei ansprach, viel mir die stark verspiegelte Brille auf. Nachdem er hörte, dass ich die Fotos umsonst versende, war er sofort bereit. Ich schaute mich um und suchte den geeigneten Ort für ein Portrait und ging mit ihm dorthin. Die Herausforderung für mich war jetzt, die Augen nicht mit meiner Reflektion zu überdecken. Auch wenn der Sucher meiner Kamera groß und hell ist, war das alles andere als einfach. Nach dem ersten betrachten der Bilder auf dem Kameradisplay, war ich zufrieden und bedankte mich für das Foto.
Dann ging es weiter zum Fotofachlabor um meine Fotos abzuholen, die ich die letzten Tage mit der Analogen Canon AT-1 und dem Canon 20mm f/2.8 Objektiv gemacht habe. Was für ein Gefühl. Hier können sich die Aufnahmen angeschaut werden: www.fotowusel.de/site/2010/08/17/mit-der-analogen-unterwegs/
