Border Collie Epilepsy Study.
If any of you have or know of someone who a border collie then please read and share this. The more people who submit their dogs for DNA sampling the better and hopefully they will be able to find the gene responsible for this terrible condition. The life expectancy of a dog with epilepsy is on average just 2 years even with treatment. Please help stamp out this terrible disease. Your dog does not need to have epilepsy to qualify; if it is over 8 and free of epilepsy then they need DNA from those dogs as well for control samples. It won't cost you anything and might save dogs lives in the future.
