Největší kontroverzi vyvolalo téma TTIP, kdy pirátský kandidát Tomáš Tožička zaujal nekompromisní postoj, radikálnější než Zelení a ČSSD. Tzv. "pravice" transatlantickou smlouvu vítá.
Just a few months ahead of the European elections in May this year, there are many unresolved questions and issues around the right to vote in the EU. These took centre stage during our Citizens’ Corner debate, which featured MEPs, EU experts on the topic and students who raised their concerns and questions. Our journalistic aim with these monthly debates is to provide information on the set of rights EU citizens have, but also to discover gaps which may still remain between the applicable legal rules and the reality of citizens in their daily lives, particularly in cross-border situations. An open dialogue is facilitated, contributing to new insights between all actors involved.
The debate was produced by Euranet Plus and the public service of Radio-Television Slovenia (RTV SLO), a member of the Euranet Plus network. This part of the debate was moderated by Alenka Terlep. The guests were:
MEP Zofija Mazej Kukovič, Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats)
MEP Tanja Fajon, Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats
MEP Alojz Peterle, Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats)
MEP Ivo Vajgl, Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe
