After another successful dive this male Kingfisher climbs away with a Fish.

Kingfishers are widespread, especially in central and southern England, becoming less common further North.

It is estimated that there are between 4,000 and 7,000 breeding pairs in the UK.

The first day out of the year looking to photograph Kingfishers.

The day started off frosty but quickly clouded over and began to rain lightly.

It wasn't long before the first male Kingfisher turned up and made its first dive for a Fish.

This is the moment it breaks the surface with a Fish and climbs back up to the perch.

The 2nd Fox trip out of 2022 and this Red Fox came very close and made a point of showing who's boss with a slight grimace.

An diesem Abend habe ich eine Gruppe Sanderlinge fotografieren können.. diese kleinen Vögel sind flink und oft in kleinen Trupps unterwegs.. Was man hier nicht sieht: es war sehr stürmisch und hat geregnet.. ich war hinterher komplett nass 😅

A second visit to photograph the Kingfishers at the end of April. The day started overcast with very light rain. But the brightened up slightly.

The male Kingfisher Dives to catch a fish.

A nanosecond to late I miss the first contact of the beak and water

The Kingfisher failed to catch this time.

We both have to keep trying.

Diese Möwe flog perfekt in die tierstehende Sonne, während eine Welle die Welle unter der Möwe abschattete..

So ein Bild habe ich mir vorgestellt und mich gefreut, dass es noch geklappt hat.

Diese Möwe hier hatte einen schönen Erfolg bei der Jagd und hat einen ordentlichen Snack erwischt.

Sie präsentiert diesen schon nahezu stolz ;-)

The Little Owl Launches into flight from a tree stump.

The Little Owl is the smallest of the Owls seen in England. It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock.

Another day out photographing Kingfishers at the end of May. It was to prove to be a vey busy day with two Male Kingfishers visiting many times throughout the day.

The male Kingfisher sets off on a dive to catch a fish.

Kingfishers are small unmistakable bright blue and orange birds of slow moving or still water. They fly rapidly, low over water, and hunt fish from riverside perches, occasionally hovering above the water's surface.

Another day out photographing Kingfishers at the end of May. It was to prove to be a vey busy day with two Male Kingfishers visiting many times throughout the day.

The male Kingfisher was not always successful at catching Fish. It took 4 dives before it caught a Fish.

I love flying birds for their beauty. I really haven't had the time to review all of my shots from my Iceland trip, but when I saw this image, I knew I wanted to process it. It's shape, lines and background tones struck a chord with me. Additionally, I just love Terns.

I especially like this image because it shows the beautiful green color on the cliffs of Iceland and the gorgeous blues in the water below.

Puffins are extremely fast, so I am pleased whenever I get one in focus.

The last day of May and a trip to Worcestershire to photograph Little Owls and Woodpeckers.

The Great Spotted Woodpecker takes flight.

About blackbird-sized and striking black-and-white. It has a very distinctive bouncing flight and spends most of its time clinging to tree trunks and branches, often trying to hide on the side away from the observer. Its presence is often announced by its loud call or by its distinctive spring 'drumming' display.

Towards the end of May I got the chance to visit the location where I see the Red Foxes. The weather was overcast with light rain.

The Fox was very slow to turn up only briefly coming into view. It was very skittish.

The last day of May and a trip to Worcestershire to photograph Little Owls and Woodpeckers.

The Little Owl had been resting on the fence when the Great Spotted Woodpecker turned up.

There was a short stand off before the Woodpecker flew off.

Another day out photographing Kingfishers. Hopefully it was going to be better than the last trip.

This Kingfisher emerges with another Fish.

In late June I had my 2nd outing to photograph the wild Foxes.

It was very hot and humid weather and there was concern that they might not show up.

After another long wait this adult Red Fox showed up at the edge of the field in some lovely changing light and spent a couple of minutes looking around before disappearing back inti the woods.

The Little Owl continued to fly back and forward across the field going from its nest hole in the Oak Tree to some old gate post and tree stumps.

The Little Owl is the smallest of the Owls seen in England. It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock.

Towards the end of May I got the chance to visit the location where I see the Red Foxes. The weather was overcast with light rain.

The Fox was very slow to turn up only briefly coming into view. It was very skittish.

An diesem recht stürmischen Wintermorgen waren die Möwen sehr aktiv und haben einige Zeit lang gejagt.. Die See war dazu recht stürmisch und als dann noch die Sonne durchkam.. die Bedingungen hätten nicht besser sein können um die R3 ein wenig zu testen. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden!

Cette photo a été prise le matin durant la prise du premier café. La brume flottait encore sur les champs et enveloppait le petit arbre avec ses fleurs jaunes. Ensuite le soleil montait et la scénerie devenait miraculeux.

The Little Owl is the smallest of the Owls seen in England. It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock.

Another day out photographing Kingfishers. Hopefully it was going to be better than the last trip.

The Kingfisher was proving to be a expert Fish catcher.

今日は2タミに行ってきました。風が強くて上がりが高かったので、デッキ南端(64~65番ゲート付近)から撮りました。

A very short trip out to photograph Kingfishers at the end of June. Weather was sunny intervals.

This Kingfisher was very successful at catching Fish, Catching four out of every five dives.

Heute konnte ich mein neues Spielzeug endlich testen.. Ohne etwas an Motiven zu erwarten.. der Eisvogel war mehr als ein gelungener Test.. Leider scheint die neue Speicherkarte Defekt zu sein, sodass viele Bilder Defekt waren.. es waren aber dennoch einige Bilder dabei :)

Bisher gefällt mir die Bildqualität der R3 sehr gut, Haptik, etc, sowieso.
