Change is coming... The future is here.

I always thought that I need to wait a while more before I can realize the dream of moving around with an ultraportable dSLR. Definitely, this is the current trend and will last for the years to come.

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and move ahead with current state of art. Despite the not-so-good reviews, I feel the sheer size and weight of EOS M are enough to win me over. Not to mention the compatibility with the other EF lens.

As expected, the AF is slow but it's not as bad as I imagine or some described. If I do manual focus by turning the ring of the lens, I can shoot faster. It took a while before I can decide which AF mode I shoot faster. In the end, I choose the back focus method which I can use together with manual focus on lens.

The issue of accidentally taking photos with the touch screen can easily be eliminated by using the shutter button just for taking shots.

Battery-wise, it does drain faster than normal dSLR. A spare battery is really desired.

Again, I got myself a pre-owned set which is still very new at a comfortable price. 50% off current retail price is too much to ask for. Anyway, experience has been generally good so far. I will only keep EF-M 22mm f2 for its lowlight capabilities and wide-angle. I am always in search of a prime at this focal length for cropped bodies.

I knew that the whole system would feel like a toy and this is why I have prepared to pair it up with other toy lens i.e. 50f1.8 and 35f2 (obsolete). They will be my travel kit from now. If I need to shoot serious stuff, I would probably bring my Ls along.

I am still looking for my 16-35L replacement and as I get it, I will update my camera gear gen. 4 photo. Hopefully, this complete setup shall last for the many years to come. There are still loads of photos to be taken of my dearests

Early morning tristesse

After deciding that there was no way we would be able to go, lo and behold, there were evening tickets to be had on the website. So off we trot to beautifully, ironically dismal Weston-super-mare to see what Banksy and friends have cooked up...
