Running on route 25, a route which 12m buses seldom operate on full-day.
368 is an Enviro500 built in 2004 as a development vehicle and never before used in public service. Ensign converted it to open top and single door for use on their Southend Pier Route 68. It is pictured whilst attending Showbus 2021 at the Hertfordshire County Showground
As Enviro500 VT class operations finish up in Donnybrook Garage in January 2022 with the introduction of the final batch of Enviro400ER's PA class, a flashback to the very first day.
VT 1 aptly operated the first ever Enviro500 service, on route 46A from Dun Laoghaire on the 18th December 2005, seen above about to set off on its maiden voyage to Mountjoy Square.
At the time, this bus type was a revelation, the sheer length & size, along with the tri-axle arrangement, it really was a BIG deal in 2005.

D&E Coaches of Inverenss operate subsidised bus routes, coach hire and school contract services in the Highlands of Scotland.
Three former Dublin Bus buses are seen here parked at their Inverness depot. From Left to right are Volvo Olympian/Alexander R Type P5 YST (R363 LHK, 97-D-360), Volvo B9TL/Alexander Dennis Enviro500 P12 YST (LW55 CCK, 05-D-70004) and similar P10 YST (LW55 CDO, 05-D-70015).
They were originally Dublin Bus RV360, VT4 and VT15 respectively.
SN09 CBV is an Alexander Dennis Enviro500 new to First Glasgow in March 2009 as their number 38207.
It joined the Aberdeen fleet in 2015 and is seen here on service 2 to Ashwood.

First Aberdeen hosted the UK’s only fleet of Enviro500, Alexander Dennis’s tri-axle double decker model that is primarily for export. All 25 of them have been withdrawn or sold off by this summer.

Ensignbus have a fleet of red & silver open-top buses typically featuring a number of Volvo B7L / Ayats Bravos. When I visited the depot in June 2021, a rather unusual open-topper was being prepared for service, exact details being unknown other than it is a tri-axle ADL Enviro500.

After being taken out of revenue service for half a year, several members of NWFB's first batch of Enviro500 (55XX) returned to active service in December. Pictured here is 5507 operating on New Year's Eve special route 18R.

P12 YST is a Volvo B9TL/AD Enviro500 new to Dublin Bus in December 2005 registered as 05-D-70004 (fleetnumber VT4).
It was one of 20 bought by Ensign Bus for the UK market and was re-registered LW55 CCK. D&E Coaches of Inverness purchased it in the summer of 2019 from Ensign and has subsequently re-registered it to P12 YST. It is seen here leaving Inverness on an afternoon school journey to the Black Isle.
In around 3 months' time, the NWFB brand would be retired and merged into Citybus. As part of the farewell campaign, the iconic “wavy” corporate logo livery worn by the initial batch of NWFB buses is now applied on Enviro500 unit #5518.

Ensignbus' new open-top Enviro 500 in Southend. Built as a test bed by Transbus in 2001 and now in use for the first time following conversion to open top.
07-D-70040 is a Volvo B9TL/Alexander Dennis Enviro500 new as Dublin Bus VT40 in December 2007.
It carries the latest TFI livery and seen here on College Street operating a journey on service 38A to Burlington Road.
First Aberdeen Alexander Dennis Enviro500 38219 (SN09 CCX) is seen here on Union Street operating service 2 to Auchinyell/Robert Gordon University.
These Enviro500's are in their final weeks of operation during my visit with only a handful left in service. 38219 is still wearing its service 1 and 2 branding well.

Advert / Livery - New Citybus Livery Concept
Since entering service, #6493 has been painted in the light yellow vintage livery carried by Citybus's first vehicles back in 1979, in celebration of the company's 40th anniversary. As the anniversary celebrations are long passed, the 40th anniversary decals have recently been removed from the two retro buses.
