Fort Stevens, Oregon coast. I ducked into this building to escape the rain. It's hard to tell that it was pouring rain outside these windows.
A view of the entrance to the Illinois Building in downtown Springfield. The 15-story building was completed in 1930, and is a sturdy example of the art deco style of skyscraper design.

This entryway is the junction between the central corridor and the entrance hall at Z Ward.
Z Ward was a separate building at the Glenside Mental Hospital that catered for the criminally insane. Built in 1885, it is now empty and preserved by the National Trust.

Abandoned waterpark near Newberry Springs, Ca.
I've passed this place many, many times over the years, and always wished I could check it out. Today was the day. A huge waterpark, with many pools, slides and amusement areas. All very well constructed. But, WTF could they have been thinking when they built this? It is along I-15, but reaching it requires leaving the interstate and driving a few miles. On top of that, it is truly in the middle of nowhere. Somebody lost a heap of money.
So, I found an easy entry, but I'm here to tell you it was one spooky place. Not a soul around. But, man, it was a trip.
Single exposure. One SB-80 bounced high off ceiling in room behind and to the left of camera, and one bounced out of wall/ceiling joint CR.
